I really enjoyed creating a bridal set for this bride who chose an elegant boho and dried floral stem theme. Colours were white with black background and beige/cream.

The bride to be also had provided crystals to be incorporated in to each piece.

With an injured back, chronic pain can stop you in your tracks. Sooo, I’m distracting myself by creating oversized roses for special occasions. I like recycling so I am keen to use the lining from the brides dress alterations, silk scarves, recycled nylon and organza. Anything that can take a flame to the edge to mould petals.
I do sell them, and have posted on marketplace however, I do hope I can keep up in between meds.

Keepsake Bouquets is changing the way weddings and memory keepsakes are being made as I
look, recycledfor ways to create and use sustainable and biodegradable products and materials.

With trends and themes ever changing, it can be quite tricky to hit the mark.

Moving forward, Keepsakes will no longer use plastic and nylon artificial blooms. Handmade flowers will be created with recycled cotton and linen materials as shirts, tshirts, pants and dresses.
The only exception will be to the button and beaded additions which are sentimental pieces, recycled or vintage.

Blooms can be made with so many materials. Imagination and using the wrap and twist technique and you are there.
A bride to be at my previous workplace was leaving to get married. So I made her a toilet paper bouquet. She loved it so much, she kept it in a glass at her desk. 🌸

Wow, doilies, the crazy imaginative vintage and slight boho feels you can create. The table runner proved very popular, so I may do another. Doilies on canvas I kept, and I’ll post it soon. Thinking of making myself a curtain for a bathroom window, I’ll share how I go. Happy Monday everyone.

Thinking of my dear bride, one of the first I worked with years ago, as she comes to terms with the loss of her Pop (pictured). The passing of a loved one is so hard but with time, the grief mellows and loved ones wish to treasure memories. Those special trinkets or clothing must be ‘dealt’ with. At Keepsakes, these special things can be made into an arrangement which loved ones can treasure and view everyday. Hugs to you Rebecca.

Here we used some trinkets and precious items Dani collected. Hessian blooms were her theme with family and friends passing them to her to gather as she walked to her hubby-to-be where she would have her complete bouquet.

On the 12th of September, a dear friend Samantha Meadows finally married her long time partner Brenton on their property in Tangambalanga NE Victoria.
Given away by her son Riley, it was clear that the family had a truly wonderful day.
She then posed in her awesome boots 🥾 and made a gorgeous statement for marriage equality.
Her bouquet was created so many months before as she attempted, like so many others, to organise a wedding through numerous COVID lockdowns.
