Hi friends

Hope you are all having a great 2022 so far, as you may or may not know JD Events was recently sold and is now proudly part of one of the largest event hire companies in NSW.
We will continue as JD Events and still offer the same great service and items you have experienced over the many years we have been helping the Central West celebrate, meet, remember and join together at events plus now being able to have access to even more beautiful items.
We will be moving away from this page soon and invite you to head over to our new page - JD Events Bathurst, please like and follow us to check out what we have been up to, see new items. Please feel free to invite your friends and family to like and follow us too.

Due to the recent sale of JD Events and now being under new owners / management we are seeking to employ suitable Event Site Crew to join our team in the building & dismantling of marquee structures, flooring and other event hire items. This position will be based from our Kelso warehouse
Being one of the largest Event Industry suppliers to Major Events in Central Western NSW including Motorsport, Weddings, Festivals & Corporate Functions we pride ourselves on delivering to a high standard, so it is crucial that our team represents our Company to our desired level. Experience in the building of Temporary Structures is not essential however highly regarded along with previous Construction experience.
• Must be the holder of a White Card
• Polite, courteous nature with a can-do, positive attitude, able to take initiative with good communication skills, takes pride in personal presentation & physically fit to be able to lift heavy items
• Ability to follow instruction with a clear understanding of general Site Safety and the safety of others around them
• The ability to work part of a team, follow instruction, being a self-motivated, driven individual who thrive on taking responsibility for allocated tasks who demonstrates a willingness to listen and learn
• Desirable licenses – Forklift, MR drivers license

Events are fast paced and controlled by strict deadlines so it is key we have a team to support the business requirements that change and evolve constantly. Hours will vary from week to week. Above award hourly pay rate

JD Events – Position vacant – Casual as required

We are looking for an experienced cleaner to help with the cleaning and maintenance of our hire items e.g. – tables, chairs, catering equipment and to help in our washroom as needed

This position is a casual position and would suit someone with school age children, hours / days are flexible but would mainly be 10am to 2pm. Days will vary from one day up to four days per week depending on bookings

All cleaning supplies and training will be provided

We are still open and ready to help with all your event hire needs plus help make bookings for any events you might have coming up - we are even taking bookings for 2022.
Please note that the JD Events team will continue to clean and maintain our items to the highest standards and rest assured that if any team members experience cold or flu symptoms, or have been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive, they are required to self-isolate, get a COVID test and not allowed to return to work until a negative test result is returned.
If your visiting our warehouse to collect, return items or to chat about a booking please be advised that you are required to wear a mask and use our QR code to sign in upon arrival, our staff are wearing masks and following social distancing rulings to help ensure your safety when you visit our premises.
Hopefully things can return to some sort of normal soon and we can all safely be together with friends and family again

We were so happy to be part of the Cancer Councils - Stars of Bathurst event held over the weekend at the Bathurst Goldfields.
An amazing amount of $103,811.70 was raised and our very own Nicki received the stars star award.

How amazing is this, our very own staff member Nicki - the voice at the other end of the phone and the one behind the emails

Is part of the Cancer Councils - Stars of Bathurst for 2021. She has been partnered up with a fantastic group of ladies from the Bashira Bathurst belly dancers.

Nicki is after any help to reach her fundraising goal of at least $2,500 to help assist the Cancer Council with their amazing work

She will be holding a monster raffle and tickets go on sale soon, and details will follow in next few days. She will also be holding a sausage sizzle at Bunnings on Saturday 24th April.

If you don't know what stars of Bathurst is here's a brief run down, about 8 local people are nominated by friends, family, workplaces and asked to fundraise for a 12 week period. You are also paired with a local dance school and taught a dance for 12weeks which is performed in a concert in front of the general public at a gala event and just like the TV show dancing with the stars you are scored but in a fun way. It's a great, fun way to get the community involved, step out of your comfort zone and raise as much money as you can

Flashback to the Bathurst 12HR races over the years. This year Bathurst will be hosting the on the iconic , come and visit our beautiful town and hear the mountain roar to life or if your a local what a great way to spend the weekend outside
Our marquees aren't just for weddings - they are used as garages, merchandise stores, catering tents for the teams and staff, even the bar on the roof top.

JD Events

We hire marquees, catering equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware as well as sound and lighting equipment.

Our warehouse is located at 14 Michigan Rd Kelso and is open Monday - Friday 8am to 4pm, your welcome to come and view our items in our showroom where you will find our large range of tables, chairs and table settings on display to help make the choice easier.

Come and sit with our sales team and discuss your needs for any event your having, we can show you seating layout plans for the different styles and sizes of marquees we have, go over any questions or concerns you may have and generally take the hassle out of planning an event.

If we don’t have the item your after just let us know and we will try and get it in for you, we deliver all over the central west and you can even collect some items from our warehouse in Kelso or our shed in Orange (which is open by appointment Monday and Friday’s).
