Proving what I already know, that backyard weddings are always super relaxed, family filled but still look wonderful.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a big old winery or dedicated wedding venue ceremony but getting to marry a couple in their home, a home they built together. Well that is just an extra layer of special.

But I have to say- “Fill up the seats.

“I can’t stress this enough, “No matter how many times we ask people to, they don’t and the couple are left looking at empty seats. I know we are all trying to be polite selfless people, but as long as the front row is there for family, and there isn’t a reserved sign- please, I beg you... sit down!”

Sit down people, empty chairs look awful in photos and the couple paid for every single chair!

His parents Yhubi & Jordan got married over the weekend. And they pretty much have Tony to thank.

Tony’s dad used a profile photo on a dating app with him in it. His now mum Yhubi saw Jordan and Tony and thought I want to meet that dog (and his dad).

Perhaps his parents would never have met or gotten married without him being in the profile pic.

Life is full of tiny little decisions that lead to big life decisions. Jordan picked a photo of him and Tony that caught Yhubi’s eye and made her send a first message. It lead to a first date, that lead to a life time of love.

We are all sometimes one tiny little decision away from big life changing moments!

Ｂｅｋｉ＆Ｍａｔｔｈｅｗ

Many people assume that a couple's choice to marry intimately means a hidden elopement, but that's not always the case. Sometimes, simplicity and intimacy are the goals.

Matthew and Beki chose to keep things just that way—personal and elegant with the talented behind the camera and the fantastic Lauren, their wedding coordinator, as the witnesses. We gathered on a breathtaking Monday in late May. Five of us stood together at the Lodge's stunning outlook (which even doubles as a helipad!) to celebrate their love.

It was an intimate ceremony, pure and relaxed. And I'm thrilled to be part of the elopement team, helping make moments like these unforgettable.

As I have always said, it's your day done your way.

Cam & Nat loved even
though they lived in a different country when they chose it. They asked their nearest and dearest to travel from interstate and overseas to join them on their wedding day.

I think they picked 04-04-2024 so they don’t forget their wedding anniversary. Clever! Everything about last Thursday was perfect, I was lucky I was able to be a small part of their special day.

However, what really made me feel fortunate was when Cam’s mother Jan took the time to leave such a lovely review. I love reading my couples words (Cameron also left some kind words) but when it comes from a parent it really has an extra special meaning. A mum taking the time to let me know I helped make her child’s wedding day memorable puts a pep in my step. Thanks Jan!
