Madi + Chris
22/9/23…..But is it?

Got you intrigued ?? 😉
Well you know how we are always saying ‘Your day, your way’? Well Madi and Chris did everything exactly the way they wanted to get married, and boy have they been on an epic adventure! Deciding to elope on the Greek island of Santorini, just the two of them. Standing atop the white washed villages and blue domed roofs, overlooking the Aegean Sea, they said their private vows to each other. I can only imagine the memory that experience will hold for them! Followed by an epic European honeymoon with all the incredible pictures of their travels being delivered via fb back to their loved ones here on Bribie.
But little did the family know, that they hadn’t forgotten about them and the important roles they play in both their lives, and they weren’t going to have them miss out on a celebration of their union. So they also planned to have their legal ceremony, right here, at home on the other island 😉
And while it may not look as spectacular as that Santorini blue, it was a spectacular afternoon of family celebration for these two.
So how’s that for elopement inspiration? Got you thinking of some possibilities? We’re all ears 😉

We are still drooling over how divine the arbour looked for Madi & Chris’s intimate wedding!!. All the soft fluffy pampas, paired with the beautiful pinks, mauves and pops of blush were so stunning we had all the locals stopping by to have a closer look!
She was certainly a sight to see.

There are so many pretty things that adorn your day and help make it the visual feast you want to remember. They make beautiful photographs and help complete your wedding album, so you never forget a single thing about your day. Here is a list of things to have ready for your photographer to document when they arrive :

• Your stationery - invitations, save the date and RSVP cards.
• Jewellery you are wearing on the day - watches, bracelets, earrings, necklaces
• Shoes
• Perfume or cologne
• The wedding rings
• Sentimental items that are a part of the day
• Love letters to each other
• Gifts to your support crew

Have them placed all together somewhere safe so your photographer can get straight to it. You won’t ever regret investing in the details.

Your getting ready accomodation for your wedding day is something to really think about. It’s often overlooked as not being high on the priority list, but trust us… it matters!
Choosing a location that has plenty of natural light and space for your vendors to do their work like photographers, videographers and your hair and makeup team as well as your wedding entourage!
Also think about how the colours and decor of the accomodation will fit into your aesthetic and how you want your photos to look. It might not seem like it at the time but having a beautiful space to get ready in before you head down the aisle will really set the tone for the whole day ahead of you.

Shelley and I are always saying… ‘your day, your way’. And that’s what we loved about Sayle and Rhyse’s wedding day. The family put together a stunning backyard wedding for these two, complete with marquee and handmade driftwood arbour collected from the beach. And to really make the day unique, Sayle and Rhyse chose not to walk down the aisle, but instead the honour was given to their 3 beautiful children, who were applauded by the guests as they made their way down to their parents. We wish this beautiful family all the best for many happy years together. We were honoured to be there.
