I do weddings of all sorts, from simple elopements to traditional (or not so traditional) ceremonies with 200 or more guests! Other ceremonies conducted are baby namings, vow renewals and commitment ceremonies.

KATHY + ANDREW - A RECONNECTION LOVE STORY

Andrew and Kathy first dated 27 years ago. They parted and moved on with their lives, got married and had kids with other partners.

Serendipitously, they both found themselves single again at the same time all those years later, and a chance encounter brought them back together again.

On a very chilly spring morning, they got married in Bendigo's beautiful Rosiland Park, surrounded by their joyous band of young adult kids, their partners and two best friends.

There was so much love and excitement erupting in the park that day - a spontaneous singing of 'Chapel of Love' was a highlight - that will stay with me for a very long time. ❤️

❤️ ALLI + ANDREW VOW RENEWAL ❤️

As celebrants, we get to do some very cool things! This time, it was a vow renewal ceremony for my beautiful celebrant friend, Alli and her ever so lovely guitar playing hubby, Andrew .

I told the story about how they met and fell in love over music - Andrew's band was looking for a singer and in stepped Alli! Love blossomed alongside learning harmonies, practising and performing together.

Thirty years later, they are still playing gigs, in love more than ever and relishing the life they have created, with family and music very much centre stage.

In front of their immediate family, they made new promises to each other. Their two gorgeous sons spoke about what they had learned about love and life by watching their parents, and then we all sheltered in the rotunda of Wombat Park Gardens to toast them with French champagne!

My heart was bursting with love and gratitude for being invited into such a very special moment of love, family and celebration. ❤️

EMILY + CODY ❤️

Two sweethearts, totally in love and surrounded by their families and friends at the Bush Pig Inn.

These two sweet souls brought their wedding forward so that a much-loved family member could attend - such a beautiful act of love in itself. These are the stories I adore!

And a side note, have a look at the Bush Pig Inn for a no BS venue among the ironbarks, with a laid back, Australian vibe. There's even a pool table if you need a break from the wedding festivities! 😉

So lovely to be back for an intimate family wedding on Thursday. Watched over by the majestic mount and ancient gum trees, no wind and the sun breaking through just as we were starting.

Bonus was stocking up on some Fairbank rose to share with my hubby by our dam 🍷. Happy days!

LOVE AMONG THE TULIPS 🌷

Is there a more beautiful time to get married in Bendigo than late September/early October?

Trees bursting bud, and tulips everywhere (not just central Bendigo).

This was a delightful corner of the Canterbury Park Gardens in Eaglehawk, where my gorgeous couple tied the knot yesterday.

Love, laughter and happy tears surrounded by abundance and colour - it doesn't get much better than that!

WHAT IS AN AUTHENTIC WEDDING?

To me, it is a wedding where a couple throws out the traditions that don't fit with their ethos or belief systems and replace them with something true to who they are.

For this fun-loving couple, Cayla decided to surprise Joel by walking down the aisle in a dinosaur suit - to celebrate a private joke!

Totally unexpected, hilarious, and one of the best processionals I've ever seen.

I think we can safely say they nailed the authentic wedding brief ❤️❤️❤️

RAVENSWOOD HOMESTEAD - REMINISCING!

This beautiful place has special memories for me, and I was overjoyed to be officiating at a wedding there yesterday.

When Rob and I got married in 1984, it was a B&B, and this is where we spent our first night as a married couple.

There were many other reasons to love yesterday's wedding. It was an micro wedding with incredible snapping the memories. (The big celebratory crowd arrived later)

is a stunning venue with a gorgeous outdoor ceremony area and rustic but classy reception space. The sun was shining, the sky a brilliant blue, and so many fun moments keeping the laid back and relaxed vibe high.

This homestead has seen many reinventions of itself since it was built in the mid nineteenth century. Currently, it is a stand-out wedding and special event venue, and working there or being a guest is a very special experience. (As it was back in 1984! 😉)
