How did we earn oursleves 3rd place in the Australian Bridal Industry Awards with a score of 99.96%?

We utilised Maria’s experience in her previous role as admin manager and created a system that kept you on track, so that you didn’t ever feel anxious or stressed.

We brought our personalities - Maria the kind and caring, ever-romantic lover of love, and Richard the cheeky charming entertainer – and we didn't pretend to be anything other than our unapologetic selves.

We held your hands throughout your wedding journey.

We used Richard’s decades of MC skills to make your guests feel truly welcome, and set the mood for everyone to feel engaged and comfortable.

We brought our passion for love and life, as well as our enthusiasm for creating beautiful memories for you and your guests.

We listened to you, took your story and made it into your very own rom-com, and shared it with just the right amount of feels.

We utilised Richard’s DJ expertise, ensuring that your music was queued perfectly and that your guests could hear every word.

We spoke eloquently and expressively, and we dressed to suit your style.

We left your guests thinking we had known you for decades.

How did this professional MC get to be voted the best in SA?

He learnt breath control and voice projection during years of opera singing tuition... after genetics blessed him with a beautiful voice!

He brought his stage experience as a singer and actor, along with a commanding speaking voice, and learned how to read an audience.

He listened to his mum when she taught him to be kind and considerate of others.

He learned his quick wit and cheeky banter from years spent working as a television presenter, and how to engage an audience.

He spent 20 years as a children's entertainer and was awarded at an international level for being the best in his field, and earned himself the title of "Chief Happiness Officer"

He believed that in order to be the best, he would need to be humble in the process and learn from his mistakes.

He spent the last 62 years being his unapologetic self, bringing a wealth of life experience and an ability to engage with anyone on any level.

So I guess it's not by luck, and nor did it happen overnight, in fact he spent the last 34 years honing his craft as a wedding MC/DJ whilst helping more than 1,300 couples to celebrate their love!

How did this DJ rank third in the Australian Bridal Industry Awards with a score of 99.77%?

He brought his 30+ years of experience, listened to your ideas, and worked his little butt off to prepare for your night well in advance.

He listened to you when you told him your preferred genre of music, then made sure to play the music you wanted to hear.

He gave your guests a sense of inclusion by inviting them to request the songs they'd like to dance to... then filtered out any that would kill the dance floor.

He totally celebrated with you and charmed your guests.

He became your time keeper for the night, so that speeches and cake cutting happened at the time you wanted it to happen.

He liaised with your function coordinator, your photographer, and other suppliers on the night to make sure everyone was aware of what was happening next - no cakes were cut whilst the photographer was off having his break!

He hosted your games and organised your guests to take part in the photo challenge!

He rescued you at the exact point when you were feeling awkward doing your first dance.

He kept your dance floor pumping, and even had his own little dance/karaoke party behind the DJ booth!

He ensured that you both exited your wedding Reception on a high, with a ripper send-off!

Wow!! What an incredible night we had at the which saw Richard take out the best MC award with a score of 99.95%.

I am so incredibly proud of him for working so tirelessly and for being the wonderful human being that he is ❤️ (Here's a funny thing...it's not the first time he's won it, but it was a time long before social media was a thing!)

We are absolutely thrilled that we came third in the Celebrant category with a score of 99.96%, and also third in the DJ category scoring 99.77%, and we are still pinching ourselves and feeling very honoured!

We are incredibly grateful to all of our beautiful couples who have taken the time to vote for us and to write such heartfelt reviews. We adore you for choosing us to marry you and for staying connected with us and continuing to support us - it's such a privilege to witness you grow in your marriages 💕

We are also grateful to all of the amazing wedding vendors who continue to recommend us and for the incredible friendships we've made along the way.

A huge shout out to the most deserving winner of the Celebrant category, the lovely and my darling friend who came second, both of whom work incredibly hard and are both beautiful souls. Clearly, kindness is the winner here! ❤️

Elise and Henry
6th September 2025

Where do we start with gorgeous Elise and Henry? Well firstly, we adore them for stepping outside of the square and doing things differently – like getting ready together and walking down the aisle together, and being possibly the most chilled couple we’ve had the pleasure of marrying! There was the added bonus of Elise being the most organised bride ever (sorry Henry, it could be a rumour we heard, but did you just turn up on the day....kidding!!).

These two legends also created a QR seating chart, and then just when you thought their day was done and dusted, they went and started an Insta page called to share all their best tips on how they created the best day ever!

Elise and Henry, you two are amazing, and we have so much respect for you two. We adore you both, and we love your love! ❤️

Jamie-Lee and Loi
3rd May 2025

When super bubbly Jamie-Lee sent us the draft of her vows with some 700+ words, and quietly spoken Loi sent us his draft with 300+ words, we let them know that there was a slight imbalance.

Of course, this wasn’t to say that Loi’s vows weren't amazing, in fact the way he portrayed his promises were equally beautiful, but he just managed to say what he wanted to say in a condensed version.

What we absolutely loved is that they chose to leave them as they were, and we had great fun reminding their guests that their vows are a lot like their everyday life, where Jamie-Lee's word count on a daily basis is possibly double that of Loi’s! And that’s why they are perfect for each other and why we adore them!

Jamie-Lee and Loi, thank you for being so enthusiastic during the planning process and for embracing the fun. We wish you both all the joy in the world! 🤍

Caitie and Aaron
10th May 2025

We had the pleasure of marrying Caitie and Aaron on what was the most perfect autumn day back in May this year.

We truly are blessed with the most incredible couples, and we particularly loved sharing something Caitie and Aaron told us in the planning stages - that both sets of parents have shown them what a lifelong commitment looks like, and before Aaron proposed, he sought the approval of Caitie’s parents armed with the bribe of a vanilla slice. Somehow we don’t think he needed a bribe at all!

They celebrated their marriage with Richard as DJ and MC and everything was so beautifully thought through, right down to the Lego character place settings, each with a message specifically chosen to represent the guest.

Caitie and Aaron, thank you for bringing the fun and the love. It was an absolute pleasure to get to know you and to be the first to call you Mr and Mrs Brown 🤎

Caitlin and Stephen
26th April 2025

Meeting Caitlin and Stephen was a little like meeting ourselves, albeit quite a number of years ago! We knew from the moment they sat down at that very first meeting that we were going to get along famously and that their wedding would be one of our all-time favourites! The reason? Their outward show of love and support for each other!

And of course, this carried through to their ceremony. There were tears and laughter and sunshine and rain, and throughout it all was their insanely powerful love, not just for each other but for their families, their friends...and also for us!

Caitlin and Stephen, we are so delighted that you took that leap of faith and crossed each other’s paths, because you are absolutely meant to be together, and we loved that we got to feel your love! ❤️

Gabriella and Chris

11th April 2025

We married Chris’s brother some years before and so we had a vague memory of Gabriella and Chris, but it was at our very first meeting that we couldn’t believe our luck that they were considering booking us! Why? Because they are the most gorgeous couple, with smiles for miles, and they quite literally radiate a beautiful warmth.

As a bride, Gabriella was breathtaking, and because she’s so beautiful both inside and out, she absolutely stole everyone's hearts.

Their celebration, from the Ceremony right through til the end of the Reception was incredibly magical and so full of everything that made them them, from their beautiful fur-boy Herbie as ring bearer, to the Lebanese drummers - they embraced it all.

Gabriella and Chris, we are smitten with the two of you, and we wish you all the very best for the most beautiful future together! ❤️
