Michelle and Eadan really are two of the loveliest souls on the planet!
A highlight for us was when we sent Michelle and Eadan the draft of their ceremony script, and their reply was to tell us that we had captured their story so beautifully that it made them cry! And even though they shed a tear or two during their ceremony, they certainly weren't alone, in fact I’m not sure that there was anyone at Michelle and Eadan’s wedding that didn’t cry!
(So, here’s a fun fact…they say that tears trigger social bonding and human connection, just as much as laughter does! How beautiful is that?!)

Would you just take a look at this gorgeous couple?
Whilst Mia and Dylan look like they’ve just stepped out of the pages of the latest Vogue Bridal Magazine, they truly are the most down to earth and grounded couple. There was so much love between them that when it came time for them to share their personal vows, they managed to capture everyone’s hearts, and there were more tears than we had tissues for, including us!
Their bridal party were made up of some seriously long-term besties, along with sisters, a brother and a cousin, which made for some beautiful and funny moments, and to top it off, Mia and Dylan took up the suggestion of hiding the rings underneath a chair, with two guests having the privilege of being ring bearers!
Richard was their DJ/MC and he had an absolute ball with a full dance floor and a great crowd to work with!

On a trip to Adelaide, Melbourne residents Nicole and Ryan stumbled across Golding Wines, where the vision they’d had for their dream wedding came to life…I mean who doesn’t fall in love with Golding Wines? The result was a mammoth undertaking to organise an interstate wedding, where Nicole and Ryan, along with every single guest made the journey over.
We were absolutely delighted when Nicole and Ryan contacted us, as they are the most kind and considerate humans with as much beauty on the inside as they have on the outside. They chose not to have a bridal party, instead their support crew consisted of every guest, who were the most loving and supportive group of family and friends. With vows so emotional and full of love, compassion and faith, their ceremony was nothing but perfect.

Happy anniversary to my partner in crime, my partner for life.
It was a spur of the moment proposal. We were engaged for 6 years before we were married.
We had a simple intimate ceremony in a Church with just our family and close friends present - our main focus was the inclusion of our respective children.
Richard's son played the guitar whilst Richard sang to me as I walked down the aisle.
I was accompanied by my daughter.
We asked our children to stand during the ceremony and asked for their blessing.
Our witnesses were two of our children.
Richard's dad was the photographer.
We celebrated with 30 guests at The Grand with a high tea and boarded a flight to Sydney that afternoon for our honeymoon.
Most importantly, it was the beginning of a lifetime of love and laughter! ❤️

Do you believe in fate? Well... Nicole and Nick surely do because just like so many love stories, these two lovers paths first crossed in 2015, and whilst the stars didn’t quite align that night, all hope was not lost! It was a couple of months later, with a little help from Cupid and destiny, that their paths crossed again at a music festival, where not only did the stars align, but they were lighting up the sky with Nicole and Nick written in them!
Bringing Nicole and Nick's love story to life was priceless, and do they know how to party? Ummmm, yesss! Although the room was divided between music genres, with parents rolling their eyes at their kids choices, Richard the genius managed to get the dance floor heaving with everyone happy!
Thank you Nicole and Nick, you little gems! We feel so privileged to have been your chosen Celebrants and DJ/MC ❤️

If there was an award for the most excited bride, then Lucy wins hands down! And we’re not in the least bit surprised, because these two lovers met in 2008 whilst in high school and Lucy has been dreaming of her wedding day ever since!
A recurring feature of their love story was Alastair waiting for the right moment to ask his girl to marry him, and Lucy wondering “how many more ‘right moments’ can there be?”
And for us? Well, we were delighted that they married when they did because it gave us the opportunity to be their chosen Celebrants, and since having married Lucy’s bestie Bec just last year, we had the pleasure of reuniting with them again and several people who all made us feel like we were part of the family!
Lucy and Alastair you two adorable people! We love your little story and feel so lucky to have been able to re-tell it to your family and friends. Thank you for having us along your journey and let’s hope our paths cross again sometime soon! Much love to you both! ❤️

When we asked Georgia what colour scheme they'd chosen for their day, I have to say I was a little bit excited! And when the crew from and created the most heavenly hue of pinks, it truly was the wedding that dreams are made of!
Country girl Georgia looked like a breath of elegance, and quite literally took everyone's breath away - but the highlight for us truly was the connection that these two shared during their ceremony where Curtis certainly couldn't take his eyes off his beautiful soon-to-be wife!

This is our beautiful bride Georgia, her MOH and her dear dad, and I am giving them a quick run through of all the things they need to remember just before the ceremony commences.
Whilst I was doing this, Richard was doing the same with Curtis and his groomsmen, and ensuring that the guests were hyped and in the right spirit, ready to support this amazing couple with a cheer and lots of love, because there is nothing more nerve wracking than silence!
There are so many more elements to making your wedding truly special than walking down the aisle, saying some words and signing the legal docs, and we will always bring that same level of energy to every one of our ceremonies! 🤎
Want a confetti experience like Eden and Matt's?
▪️Purchase your favourite confetti - biodegradable confetti is eco-friendly, it's light weight and floaty and comes in all sorts of colours to suit your vibe (maybe check with your venue first to see what their rules are). Petals are an option but as they're heavier, they drop to the ground quickly
▪️Don't waste your money on cones or individual bags as these end up going to waste, (and guests have a tendency to sprinkle them on you like salt and pepper!). Instead, use a box, bag or basket where your guests can take a handful or two just before they're ready to throw. Online stockist
▪️Allow us to hype your guests, hand out your confetti, and deliver our tried and tested confetti toss rules
▪️Chat with your partner to see whether you'll dare to do a dip (and practice it prior!) and if not, stop for that beautiful kiss shot half way down the aisle
▪️Don't duck, squint or pull a face - remember, your photographer is trying to get your best shot!

24.02.2024...now that's an easy anniversary to remember!
When Alexa and Ryan first met up 6 years ago, after meeting in the virtual world, they greeted each other with a somewhat awkward handshake! So it was a perfect decision to reenact that moment when they met each other at the end of the aisle!! It also set the tone for the rest of their ceremony which was light hearted and pure fun!
They then continued the same tone and partied the night away with Richard on the DJ desk, and had the time of their lives.
Alexa and Ryan, what a way to end one chapter before the start of your new adventure. We are so happy for you and the whirlwind year you have planned. Thank you for choosing us! ❤️

Eden has a heart of gold, big enough to fit the whole world inside and so it was no surprise when they asked if they could bring some elements into their ceremony to show their love and appreciation to the people closest to them. As well as acknowledging every one of their bridal party, we also wrote into their ceremony a moment for them to share with each of their parents to thank them for their unending love and support.
Now…we cannot possibly let this post go by without sharing that Matt’s nerves got the better of him and he might have had a momentary lapse of concentration and said “my awful wedded wife”, but it’s okay Matt, we know she is nothing but your incredibly loving and lawful wedded wife!

When we asked Rachael and Lachlan to tell us their love story, we are pretty sure that Rachael gave the job to Lachlan, so we just had to assume that it went along the lines of they met, they dated, they fell in love, and they became inseparable!
When we asked them when they knew they’d fallen in love, Lachlan told us it had to be when Rachael first laid eyes on him, and that was confirmed when she moved in and started doing his washing for him!
You see? We had no hope of getting any soppy romance into this ceremony, but what we did have were loads of laughter… and a lot of empathy for Rachael!

Rhiannon and Matt tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on a perfect day in February.
Their paths crossed for the first time on social media and after chatting, they arranged a date…helped along when Rhiannon learned the all-important fact that Matt like Fords!!
We just love it when our couples share an interest that ties them together and if ever there was a meant-to-be couple, it would have to be these two lovers.
They celebrated the night away with Richard on the DJ desk at House on Haines, and it was all so very perfect!

Today I celebrated a birthday. Not a milestone birthday, but a birthday, which to me is a privilege. And it prompted me to share a message with all the incredible women who have come into my life, especially since I've been on this Celebrant journey.
My back story is this...When I became a Celebrant five years ago, my colleagues at the time asked me "why would you do that now?" Along with that were the many Celebrants who were using the tag lines of "young and fun, not old and boring".
BUT...this is what I've learned in the last five years. We don't have an expiry date and age doesn't have limitations. I have learned that It's okay to pursue your dreams at any stage of life, and that with age and experience comes wisdom and gratitude. I have learned that age is a number and that self acceptance and self expression builds confidence. And finally, I have learned that we are never too old and that we all deserve to show up unapologetically and feel good about ourselves.

When Micky added the girl he had only recently met into his phone contacts as “Future wife”, it seemed that he had an insight as to how their future was about to unfold!
Lisa and Micky are so crazy in love and their wedding was such a pleasure for a many reasons. Firstly, because they were SO enthusiastic about getting hitched, but also because these two lovers had that added element that sits so well with us – the step-family - where Micky has accepted Lisa’s daughter as his own. With a “when you know, you know” kind of whirlwind romance, they were always destined to be together and their ceremony reflected that in so many ways.
Along with their nearest and dearest, they had the time of their life partying right through til the end of the night with Richard on the DJ desk and the dance floor was pumping.

When we received an email enquiry from a couple of Paramedics living in London asking us to marry them here in Adelaide, to say we were a little bit excited was an understatement. You see, this gorgeous couple didn’t just have a story to tell, theirs was an epic adventure which began when two strangers left New Zealand and Australia, took up jobs in London, and met for the first time while on a tour of Turkey.
One of the highlights for us was meeting up with them in London to chat about their wedding and to listen to their plans (I know right…a long way to go for a meeting!). Their dream day unfolded as planned, and even though Mother Nature decided January was a good time to provide a whole day of rain, this incredibly grounded couple took it in their stride with a last minute dash to relocate the ceremony to the marquee! They made their promises through tears by the bucket load, laughter and a whole load of love!
With Richard as their DJ/MC, they partied until the wee hours and had the time of their lives with family and friends, many of which had travelled all the way from New Zealand and London!
Thank you Kirsty and Andrew for having us to help bring it all together from across the miles. We wish you all the very best for your next adventure and we have all the faith in the world that you two will be perfect in life and in love ❤️

Tayah and Igor

Tayah and Igor are quite simply a whole load of perfect in every sense! Beautiful, kind, generous, loving, fun….the list goes on, and the way these two looked at each other throughout their ceremony with their families looking on with pride, it gave us such a strong sense that everything that was happening right in that moment could not be any more right. Of course we may be a little biased, because Tayah is the daughter of one of our favourite function coordinators, where clearly beautiful people genes run in the family!
Tayah and Igor had a somewhat funny love story – a meeting through a work colleague and whilst Igor was besotted from the very moment he laid eyes on Tayah, they spent the next two years speaking only on a professional level!! Ohhhh, you poor boy Igor!
When eventually they did start dating, they already knew this was it and things escalated quickly. With marriage on the cards, and a ring in production, Tayah couldn’t wait to marry the love of her life and whilst she may have pestered Igor relentlessly as to when he was going to propose, he didn’t make her wait long and with a proposal on the beach with their fur child Cleo as their only witness, their fairytale was just beginning.
Tayah and Igor, we couldn’t be happier for you both and cannot wait to see your love story unfold. We love you!! 🩷

WHEN TO BOOK YOUR CELEBRANT ♡ There is nothing worse than turning down an enquiry because we are already booked! As soon as you've locked in your date and your venue, please do consider booking your Celebrant and your Photographer, particularly if you have a specific supplier in mind and definitely if your wedding falls on a Saturday. Peak wedding season runs from September through to April, which means that there are only 35 Saturday's in the upcoming wedding season and most of us will only take on one wedding a day! That's a pretty narrow window of opportunity to get the vendor of your choice! As well as this, you will find that your Celebrant and Photographer will have a wealth of wedding industry knowledge and we are always happy to help with recommending other amazing suppliers! ♡ Happy wedding planning lovers!
