If you drive past and see the doors shut and louvres down, don’t panic — we haven’t closed up shop, we’re just keeping all that brand-new, icy-cold air where it belongs!

The new aircon’s cranking, and the pub’s never felt cooler (literally).
So come on in, grab a stool, and enjoy the breeze — the beers are cold, the food’s hot, and the doors are only shut to keep the cool in, not you out.

It can lift someone’s day, remind a mate they’re not alone, or spark a chat that really matters.

So we’re celebrating the storytellers — the ones who show up, listen, laugh, and keep the Merinda spirit alive.

Champ reckons this one’s too good to pass up — and trust us, that dog knows a good cut of meat when he sees one.

$25 rump, cooked just the way you like it

Served hot, juicy, and guaranteed to have you drooling almost as much as Champ does around the grill.

Get in early — he tried to call first dibs, but we reminded him he works here.

Merinda Village Hotel is situated at Merinda, near Bowen, located on the North East Coast of Queensland in the Whitsunday region. With untouched beaches, beautiful bays and tropical climate, averaging 8 hours of sunshine daily, it could claim to be the best climate in Queensland. There are many attractions in Bowen including The Big Mango, Bowen Water Park and Recreational area on Bowen’s Foreshore, the Summergarden Theatre at Queens Beach and snorkelling at Grays Bay and Horseshoe Bay. Bowen has several Primary Industries including agriculture, fishing, tourism and Abbot Point Coal terminal situated 25 kms North of Bowen.

Merinda Village Hotels is perfectly placed to cater to the opportunities arising from the existing Abbott Point terminal operation and also future expansion. The Bar and separate Bistro, Conference & Function Centre accommodates for work and community function/weddings.
