A Big Merinda Thank You + Holiday Hours 🎅🍻

What a year, Bowen.
Six months in, and you’ve helped us bring the old girl back to life — cold beers, big nights, good yarns, and plenty of laughs along the way.
Couldn’t have done it without you.

We’re giving the team a well-earned breather (and knocking over a few little upgrades), so here are our Christmas & New Year hours👇

A little heads-up from the Merinda crew 🎄🐾

This Thursday, we’re treating our hard-working team to their Christmas party — even Champ has dusted off his festive outfit for the occasion.

So the pub will be closed from 4PM on Thursday, just for the one night, while the staff let their hair down and celebrate a massive year.

We’ll be back open bright and early at 11AM Friday, ready to pour cold beers, serve good food, and roll straight into the weekend with you.

Merinda Village Hotel

Merinda Village Hotel is situated at Merinda, near Bowen, located on the North East Coast of Queensland in the Whitsunday region. With untouched beaches, beautiful bays and tropical climate, averaging 8 hours of sunshine daily, it could claim to be the best climate in Queensland. There are many attractions in Bowen including The Big Mango, Bowen Water Park and Recreational area on Bowen’s Foreshore, the Summergarden Theatre at Queens Beach and snorkelling at Grays Bay and Horseshoe Bay. Bowen has several Primary Industries including agriculture, fishing, tourism and Abbot Point Coal terminal situated 25 kms North of Bowen.

Merinda Village Hotels is perfectly placed to cater to the opportunities arising from the existing Abbott Point terminal operation and also future expansion. The Bar and separate Bistro, Conference & Function Centre accommodates for work and community function/weddings.

We have 48 air-conditioned rooms fully equipped with double bed, latex mattress, en-suite, HD & DVD TV & bar fridge you can rest in comfort.
