EMILY & HUGH’S WHITE WETTING!

Picture this: it's pouring rain and Em and Hugh are brave enough to go all in with their outdoor ceremony. Sure, we missed out on the Blue Mountains view because of the fog, but the weather cleared up just in time for some amazing shots at Sublime Point and Lincoln Rock. I was lucky enough to have captured one of the best drone shots ever – without a single tourist in sight!

Then came a bit of a hiccup – my Canon camera took a rain check during the ceremony. But, no worries, the new Sony, out of the box, stepped up big time. It was like it was made for this moment.

And here's a happy ending: the Canon wasn’t down for the count. After drying out, it was back in action the next day. All’s well that ends well, right?

The reception at the Bunker was the perfect blend of intimate and fun. It was all about family, love, and those special moments that make a wedding memorable. And I have to mention Emily’s homemade shortbread and wedding cake – I couldn’t resist grabbing a few extra pieces!

To Emily and Hugh, it was an absolute joy to capture your special day. Wishing you a lifetime filled with love, happiness, and memorable moments.

This one really got me.

I had the enormous pleasure on Sunday to film the wedding of my dear friend and mentor, George and his beautiful bride Victoria. What's more, I've watched as they found one another and their love blossomed. Now, vows will usually make me tear up, but rarely do I cry. On Sunday, I did. Perhaps it was the light in my eyes, or late spring hay fever, or watching two people, two families bond, not just for love, but with respect, a sense of humour, and deep commitment to one another.

I hope, through this brief teaser, you'll feel that too.

Victoria, George, thank you. You made me feel part of the family as I filmed, and, as always, your kindness, consideration, respect and love could be felt for miles around. Here's to a lifetime of happiness together 🥂 xoxo

You know when you meet a couple and you just know that somewhere out there Cupid’s smiling because they fulfilled their destiny? That’s Michelle and Nick.

On Saturday, I had the honour and privilege of filming my dear friend’s wedding. Nick and I met in Year 8 French class and, perhaps influenced by the romance of the French dialect, instantly hit it off. For 6 years, our bond was unbreakable. Nick is the closest I’ll ever come to having a brother and I count myself so bloody lucky that I can call him a friend. Naturally, when I found out a few years later that he had met Michelle, I had to make sure that if anyone was going to take my brother from me, they’d better be good. And my god, he had done it. From the first moment, Michelle’s warm soul and generous spirit had me feeling like I was rugged up at home with a cup of Earl Grey. The thing that struck me about her, and what I admire most about Michelle today, is that she is fearlessly, unashamedly Michelle. A beautiful, strong, gentle woman who compliments the determined, goofy, and ruggedly handsome Nick perfectly.

Together with their nearest and dearest, Michelle and Nick’s love was celebrated in the best way possible. Their wedding was the perfect reflection of them. Held at home, I was lucky enough to see how many people poured their hearts into Michelle and Nick’s love story and what a team effort it was - from the incredibly landscaped garden ceremony area to the cosy reception marquee, it was flawless.

The wedding is over now, but the story goes on and for Michelle and Nick, I know it’s going to be a cracker. For now, it’s onwards to the honeymoon, but for the months and years ahead, I want to wish you both all the happiness and success the world has to offer and know that we will always be here for you, no matter what. Even if it’s just to rewatch this video with you on your anniversary!

Introducing the newest member of the Artiste crew.

Thank you to all my amazing partners and clients for your patience during my parental leave. I'll be back at the desk intermittently from tomorrow to return edits.

Filming and photography is all still going ahead as well. For the next 4 weeks, you'll be in the capable hands of Ben and the team. I'll be back on the tools consistently after that.

Looking forward to being on set with you all again soon after some quality time with our little Artie.

Autumn weddings are just incredible to shoot. The lighting and the colours of the foliage are just a feast for the eyes and everything is just that bit cosier with the fire pits lit. Sally and Lee's wedding was no exception. Not only was the autumn light amazing, but the light show continued into the night thanks to Luminous. Still, nothing beat the genuine care and dorky humour (mainly Lee!) of this gorgeous couple. Every second was a dream! My sides were hurting after filming with Mandy down at the ever incredible Sylvan Glen Estate. Our laughter could only be overshadowed by the amazing changes at Sylvan Glen. I hadn't been out there since before the bushfires and it was gorgeous to see it thriving after all that time. Testament to the efforts of Donna, Matt and the team. Can't wait to be back out there to shoot weddings very soon!

Emily and Josh's wedding day was a case of the stars aligning. A stunning summers day. The world's best photographer Thomas Stewart Photography (I might be biased, but I stand by it) and the best shooter alongside, Mitch Films For Frank
Together, we captured he most glorious love story, punctuated by a strong sense of family and a good dose of fun. Every single visual was a dream to capture and Emily and Josh are set for the perfect love story.

Today is Valentine's Day, the big love number in the calendar. But half way around the world, hearts continue to break after the devastating earthquake in Türkiye and Syria. Inspired by the amazing, on-the-ground work of Humanity For All, I'd like to do my bit to help. I've been so lucky of late to have captured the weddings of some of my closest friends and family and this weekend was no exception. I've had the privilege of knowing Rachael and Michael since 2014 when Rachael cast me in one of her break through films, "First World Problems". All these years later, with a dozen film projects under our belt, and a newborn and Reno's between us, the big day arrived.

On their wedding day, I felt love not just between them, but extended to all their guests and suppliers. It was such a soulful, organised and beautiful day; a testament to them both.
