🎵JAIME JACKETT🎵

Dancing with death provides an interesting perspective on life. Genre-fluid pop artist,
multi-instrumentalist and brain cancer survivor Jaime Jackett is a powerful and evocative performer based on Djugun-Yawuru Country, in Rubibi (Broome), Western Australia. Jackett’s music delicately treads the contrast between light and dark, deliberately juxtaposing them, and playing with the patterns and shadows they create. With a dynamic voice that morphs from glass clear and sweet, to blues drenched wails, Jackett draws in audiences with her raw delivery, story and grit. Anchored by hooks, her music is influenced by a wide range of genres drawing in pure pop, folk and soul. Her cleverly penned lyrics tell tales of love, tribulations, and connection to the planet and community. Her performances for Blues at Bridgetown are celebrating the release of her debut album, ‘Reinvention’ - recorded with Bunbury producer James Newhouse in 2023.

First one for the season, done and dusted - bit damp, bit chilly, but fun to be "back on the horse".
And reception in the original "Storm Biy Jumpers" factory (for those who remember the yarn - pardon the pun).
After our service was finished I was helping to carve the spit roast pork for the sliders and the gentleman who had cooked them said
" last time I was down here I was a guest at Rachel Bagshaw's wedding". 7 years ago -it was a similar weather event, we were the caterers and 7 days later I began my adventure with APML. Small world.
