It’s been a month since Warner and I decided to embark on this new venture. Many who know me personally are aware that I’ve been in the gift industry for years. In Venezuela, we had an incredible gifts 🎁 and balloons 🎈 business called Bambue Gifts. When we decided to move to Australia 🇦🇺 we had to sell it. Here, we have the opportunity to start a Venezuelan food truck, which has been a wonderful experience. We have lovely customers, and I particularly love seeing Australian culture try our food and come back for more (that’s the best part 😍). Thanks to each of them for supporting our family business.

I had the fantastic opportunity to start working with Patricia here at Forest and Petals when she started the flower shop. I loved being here and still had the flexibility to be with my kids after school and dedicate time to the food truck on weekends. Eventually, for various reasons, I started my own online venture of breakfast surprises, gifts, and of course, flowers, using everything Patricia patiently taught me. And guess what? It’s called Bambue Gifts! 🤣 Then suddenly, Patricia told me she decided selling the flower shop and obviously I consulted with my husband (poor Warner always has a lot to handle with entrepreneurial wife 🤪), and here we are, learning all about running a flower shop. But doing what you love ❤️😍 is priceless.Today, I want to thank God first for guiding us to where we should be, Warner and my two boys Sebby and Santi for their support, my mom and brother in Spain for their help, Patricia for trusting that I can take care of and love her shop as she did, for encouraging me to go for it, and for supporting me through this transition. The new face in front of Forest & Petals, my beautiful friend Emily 💕

Not sure how many years of friendship, but the last couple of weeks, we've been able to hang out more than ever, and It just reassured me that she is the person to take my baby to a new journey.

She is a bit shy but hides this fact really well behind her smile. You will get to know her but I'll just tell you my favourite things about her:

1. That smile is the reflection of a very positive outlook on life and just a very fun personality and person to be around.

2. I love her relationship with her kids, I am child free by choice, but if I had made a different choice, she is definitely the kind of mum that I would like to be. Together with her husband Warner, are bringing up 2 beautiful boys who are as happy, kind and full of joy as them.

3. She is not afraid of learning and pivoting when the opportunity arises, and that’s why she is here.

I trust you will show her as much love and support as you had shown me during these 4 years, and once I'm back to Australia I'll be by her side supporting her so I hope to see you all soon (ish) lol

I'll be around 2 more weeks, so this is not my final post lol

Time to say goodbye ❤️

With this TBT from the opening at Riverhills shop, almost 4 years ago, I would like to say thanks a bunch 🌸

As some of you already know I sold the shop to my very good friend Emily. She will be the official owner from the 1st of June, as I embark on a new project.

It's been a privilege to be a part of your big moments, your happy moments, and also the difficult ones. I will be forever grateful for the support and love that I received from all of you, and for all the beautiful friendships and connections that we created.

I'll be heading overseas to visit my family and friends and to fill up the tank, but I'll definitely be around when I'm back for my flower fix and to support Emily with big seasons and weddings.

I hope you can extend the same love and support that you showed me to Emily, who is very excited about taking Forest & Petals to its new chapter.

I had a little break a couple of weeks ago and went to Sydney and Tassy, and I finally got to see some of my favourite flowers in the wild or in gardens 😍 Side note, my marriage survived me asking my husband to stop every 3 min so I could see them closer and, of course, snap a pic. That's what happens when you take a florist on a road trip 🌸 I'm sure we will be flying to Sydney next time lol
