Sometimes we judge ourselves too harshly for a lack of success.
We think, “something must be wrong with me” if our efforts don’t bring results.
But success doesn’t depend only on your abilities — it also depends on where you are.
An elephant in India is sacred, a symbol of wisdom and divine strength. People worship and honor it.
The very same elephant in Africa can be hunted or seen as a threat to crops.
The elephant hasn’t changed — the environment has.
A rat in Europe represents dirt and disease. In China, it’s a symbol of wealth and agility, the first sign of the zodiac.
The same animal, a completely different meaning.
A dove is a universal symbol of peace and purity — yet in big cities, it’s mocked as a “flying rat.”
The same species. The same traits. But entirely different roles.
Humans are no different.
You can be a valuable professional, full of ideas and energy — but if the company you work for doesn’t recognize it, you’ll feel like the “bin bird.”
And that doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It simply means you’re not in the right place.
🌱 Success is not just about your qualities. It’s also about the environment where your potential can unfold.
If you’re not growing, not being recognized, not moving forward — maybe it’s not you. Maybe it’s time to find a place where your abilities are celebrated, not suppressed.
Today, we even have tools that help us understand how location influences our career and life, where our strengths are unlocked, and what steps are needed for growth.
Sometimes, the right environment and the right context are half the success.
