This phrase gets thrown around a lot in the wedding world—but what does it actually mean when you’re working in such a controlled, time-sensitive setting?
𝐓𝐨 𝐦𝐞, 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬:
Cinematic storytelling is about capturing the secret language couples speak that no one else can hear.
The hand squeeze. The exhale. The look that says everything without a single word. When it’s just the two of you, rattling down the road with tin cans trailing behind, finally alone in the beautiful chaos you just created together.
This is what it looks like when two people are home to each other.
And this? This is what I live to capture.

Most of the day, I’m a fly on the wall with a camera (yes, really). I watch. I wait. I let the moments unfold naturally.
But weddings aren’t like couples sessions. There are time constraints. Eyes on you. Nerves kicking in. And let’s be honest—most couples want a little direction when the pressure’s on.

So when I see something like this car—so special to the bride’s dad, a priority for photos—I don’t just start snapping.

Some love stories begin with a bogged car, a shared swag, and a waterfall that changed everything.

Tina and Robbo’s journey started on a dusty track in Darwin—where Robbo’s car “conveniently” broke down and Tina became his hero (and his ride to every camping trip after). A few waterfalls later, a bottle of essential oil love potion sprayed under the stars at the Bungle Bungles, and a mud crab caught with old un**es by a campfire in Kakadu… and they were hopelessly, beautifully in love. Now, they call a station in WA home—where red dirt roads and wide-open skies are part of their everyday.

From the very first meeting to the last detail of their wedding day, you could feel how much these two adore each other. Every choice, every moment—it all had meaning. Robbo proposed on a dune overlooking the ocean at Quobba, with a ring designed to represent the desert and ocean coming together. Their wedding bands hold amethyst they fossicked for themselves—a symbol of two worlds merging as one family.

They married in the little chapel that’s been their family church—the same place where, every Sunday, Tina’s grandparents made corned meat and relish or egg and lettuce sandwiches. After their ceremony, they honoured that tradition in the sweetest way, sharing those same sandwiches with their loved ones.

But my favourite moment? Their first dance under a single light bulb—a tribute to the station they lived on that only had one light in the whole house. Just them, one light, and a love that’s lit up every adventure since.

Tina and Robbo, thank you for letting me witness your story. You two are proof that the best love stories are written on red dust roads, under golden hour skies, with nothing but each other and a whole lot of heart. Travel safe back over the Nullarbor to your station home in WA. 💛

Some weddings are grand celebrations. Others are intimate, intentional, and deeply romantic—like Chris and Cheryl’s day at Crystalbrook Vincent.

From the moment I met these two, one thing was certain: their connection is everything. They’re each other’s emotional support, biggest cheerleaders, and lifelong partners in every sense. (And if their adorable fur baby could have been there, you know they would have been part of the celebration too! 🐾)

Chris and Cheryl wanted their wedding day to reflect exactly who they are—chic, editorial, and filled with the people they love most. The day started with them getting ready together, soaking in every moment before splitting to get dressed. Then came the most beautiful first look, followed by a private vow and ring exchange that we captured quietly from inside—just them, their love, and all the emotion.

The official ceremony at the Brisbane City Registry was made even more special by the cheekiest celebrant who brought all the wedding feels, and the reception? A private gallery room under the Story Bridge with sweeping city light views. Romantic, intimate, and absolutely perfect.

Chris and Cheryl, thank you for trusting me to capture your love story. Here’s to a lifetime of cheering each other on. 🤍

Eleisha + Tom | 𝐒𝐤𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞, 𝐒𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐢𝐦

Eight years ago, Tom swiped right on Tinder. Eleisha crashed his boys’ arvo at the pub on their first date. She kept locking her keys in her car during those early days—some cosmic force making sure she had an excuse to stick around a little longer. Turns out, she never wanted to leave.

Fast forward through camping in Tom’s single-man swag, pregnancies on stretchers under the stars, two beautiful boys and a whole lot of life done beautifully backwards. Thirty of their favourite humans gathered at Skyline Farmhouse to watch them make it official.

Can we talk about farmhouse weddings? There’s something about the casualness that just gets me. Kids running barefoot through paddocks, adults relaxing with a drink, no one stressing about perfectly pressed napkins. It’s real, easy, the kind of celebration where love gets to breathe. Skyline Farmhouse nailed it—the perfect getaway for a family full of children, a whole weekend of connection and zero pretence.

Tom’s what Eleisha calls a “roasted marshmallow”—permanent RBF on the outside, gooey soft on the inside. She’s one of the lucky ones who sees that soft centre, especially with their two boys. He’s steady, the calm to her storm. She’s the dreamer who finally started planning a future when she met him. Together? They make the world feel bigger.

Their vows were everything. Raw, real, full of love tested by sleepless nights and big dreams of acreage, animals, and a shed for Tom’s car projects. Tom promised to love her faults and strengths. Eleisha promised to be his attentive audience for all things cars. They’re on the same side, always.

Here’s to the acreage, the animals, the shed, and growing old together. 💛

Meet Brendon + Jade - proof that sometimes the best love stories start in year 9!

These two lovebirds were mates through school, then life happened and they went their separate ways. But three years later, fate had other plans... Jade spotted Brendon outside her workplace and literally BOLTED and jumped up into his arms! Talk about knowing what you want!

Since that magical reunion, they’ve built a life together - creating homes, renovating their gorgeous Queenslander, and becoming the most devoted pawrents to their two fur babies 🐕🐕 (who probably think they’re the real stars of this love story!).

Saturday at the stunning Maleny Manor was pure magic! This Sunshine Coast wedding venue never fails to take my breath away with those sweeping hinterland views and heritage manor charm. The private estate setting was absolutely perfect for these two cuties.

Brendon and Jade, you two are absolute legends and your love story is one to dream of!
