I used to think this type of night was just an excuse to get loose (well hey I did have a couple of wines 🫢)...but I now realise it's more about building connections and learning new things from my peers/other industry experts. What I actually do: • A whole heap of marketing/networking/expos/social posts...to get your attention in the first place (like this one). • Get to know you/planning meeting (where I go above and beyond to learn about your day and end up offering a lot of my events experience to help you with time lines etc). • Legal paperwork and ongoing professional development with the AGO. • Questionnaire creation, then using your responses to craft a beautiful, bespoke script right for you. • Help with vow writing. • Ongoing website development, continuously improving my online planning portal to help you plan your day. • Certificate printing and vows printed (presented in my professional vow books). • Rehearsal of your script. • Online rehearsal with you • Testing, charging and packing my quality BOSE PA, microphone, back up mic, spare batteries, pa and mic stand, folders, emergency wedding kit (bug spray/wipes/safety pins...you name it)... I'm prepared for everything. • Hair and make-up • Driving (sometimes hrs) to your venue..to get there early (in case of traffic) to set up (hoping not to get a speeding fine that will cancel out my service fee 🫣🤣) • Set up and test equipment. • Liase with other vendors to co-ordinate timings, music and photo ops • Get wedding party in place. • Meet and greet your guests, clean seats, offer bug spray, tissues, distribute confetti etc. • Present ceremony • Help co-ordinate photos with photographer • MC evening (if hired post ceremony). Assist function team where needed. • Drive home... Happy, yet exhausted 🤣 So...what do you think I'm worth? 😉
