LYNNE ❤️ NADIA - 25.05.2024

Sometimes you meet people and you wish you could have got to know them more. There are people who are so warm and inviting and are just genuinely lovely.

Lynne and Nadia were those people. I stepped in for my beautiful friend Ketrina to get these two married. It was a Legals Only ceremony in New Farm park and it was just fabulous. I can’t even put my finger on exactly why but I’ll take that feeling and hold onto it.

People say, oh it’s not very romantic. I beg to differ. It was a misty morning in the park. We had the rotunda all to ourselves. There was Aunty Christina and their great friend Sirena (who bought them both gorgeous bunches of flowers). And it was just perfect.

I am so honoured I got to be there to witness this very special marriage. Much love to you both ###x

The morning ceremony by Kedron Brook was absolutely stunning. Huge thanks to the wonderful Ketrina for entrusting me to officiate their wedding.

Can you believe this amazing day started with a first date at two different Starbucks? It's like fate brought them together!

And once they took a stroll downtown, everything just clicked and sparks started flying.

Their wedding day was pure magic, from the first look in the trees at Walkabout Creek to the romantic ceremony with family and friends on the deck.

Designing their wedding was an absolute joy for me and being a part of their special day was truly an honour.

MARK ❤️ JESS - 11.05.24

These two absolute angels were married at Spicers Balfour in New Farm last month and it was glorious.

If my couples decide to do personal vows, I always offer to check them over, print them on vow cards and bring them on the day.

Well Mark said to me a couple of days prior, don’t worry I’ll write something down and bring it with me. Call me a control freak but that makes me nervous.

BUT oh my gosh. Did he absolutely nail the vows on their wedding day. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house.

This was the most amazing afternoon. There was just 5 of us on top of the Kangaroo Point cliffs and it was so romantic. Their vows had us all a bit emotional.

They then headed off for a fun photo shoot with and a romantic dinner (I don’t think Ben joined them for that 😂)

A perfect afternoon for this wonderful couple.

The 13 year old Jess had a small crush on Jason. She always got excited when the sexy ‘country’ man came into Muffin Break, at her after school job. But thought he was way too old for her. Maybe one day she’d marry someone just like him.

Well on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, these two amazing people got married in front of all their family and friends and it was magical.

You never know where your lives will take you and the paths that you will cross. This was a love story that was just meant to be.

Suits 👔✂️

This ones for all my suit and tie wearing friends.

Firstly, if you are wearing a tie, make sure you all know how to actually tie the tie. I think Josh was giving tying lessons on the morning of his wedding. I have actually redone many a tie myself.

Secondly, please snip the loose stitch that holds the back of your jack in place - the vent. At my wedding yesterday I snipped 4 suits. Suddenly the suit jacket became way more comfy and looked a million times better.

But don’t stress, I will always help with ties, I carry scissors for snipping and I’m a gun at pinning on buttonholes.

I know I say this all the time but gosh I marry the best couples. What a pair of darling hearts these two were. From the moment we met up at the “Lizard” cafe, I knew we were going to have the best time crafting their ceremony.

With the mums arriving as their flower ladies, to their vows and every other fabulous moment, we couldn’t have asked for a better, more love filled day.

Oh and here’s to sauce on the side for life and eating ice-creams in the wind. 😂

The look on both of their faces when they met at the end of the aisle will always stay with me. It was pure relief. They were with their persona nd ready to become husband and wife.

JAMES ❤️ CLARISSA - 12.04.24

What a stunning day. These two cuties absolutely blew us away with their loving glances, cheeky smiles and vows that were perfect.

Clarissa has taught James to be more calm and think logically when in times of stress. She’s also taught him the very sacred art of dishwasher stacking.

James has taught Clarissa that the sky is the limit and to go for whatever she wants and that she is truly capable.

The camping trip to 1770 was where the magic began for this adorable couple. They were joined by some friends who may have had a sneaky suspicion about Daniel and Aleisha's future together.

During the trip, they were inseparable; always sitting together at meals, sharing food, and teaming up in board games. It was heartwarming to see how they supported each other, even when they were on opposing teams. By the end of the trip, it was clear that a beautiful romance had blossomed between them. A love story for the ages had begun.

Happy Anniversary to us

18 years ago today we woke up on a tropical island with 20 family and friends, had a bit of breakfast, went for a swim, got dressed and were married under the palm trees.

Of all the weddings I’ve been to (and that’s a lot) it’s still my favourite.
