I’m super grateful for The 5 Love Languages Book.

We're often asked "what are the minimum legally required words for a marriage in Australia?"
So I thought I would answer here in case you were curious too!🧐

The minimum legally required words (a Kiss & Go wedding) must include the following:
~ The celebrant must say the monitum for marriage
~ Both the parties must say the legal vow line
“I call upon the people here present to witness that I [legal name], take you [legal name], to be my lawfully wedded wife/husband/spouse.”
~ Then the celebrant must “declare you married”

The QLD Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages will provide free replacement life event certificates (such as birth and marriage certificates) to people in disaster declared areas who may have had them lost or destroyed.

If you need a replacement due to the recent severe weather, please email or call BDM.
