Sonic the Hedgehog Art Competition - Win a Free Pass!!

The Arcade is now open 7 DAYS from 12pm-8pm (& until 10pm on Fridays). To celebrate the Summer of Sonic we will be running a Sonic the Hedgehog Art competition where we will select the tastiest cuts to win some Free Passes to the arcade!

The art-work can be done either at home or in the arcad. To Enter you need to just hand it in at the counter on a day when you are playing at the Arcade!

So, to enter, bring in your best Sonic piece with your name, email, age & contact phone number on the back, or feel free to do your drawing in the arcade with the available color pencils we have here :)

We will contact the winners & also announce and showcase the work on our page.

Yes thats right! 10am!! We have decided to open a bit earlier leading into Christmas to give our early-birds and little mates a chance to get some games in before the brutal sun of Summer lays its smack down upon thee. Get your Xmas eve off to the best start you can imagine with bringing the kids down to a proper Arcade before gathering the family around the air-conditioner to settle in for the torture of Carols by Candlelight.

ARCADE WARS & WORLD RECORD UPDATE!!!!! RLN recently took out the High Score on Moon Patrol, but he is no 1 game maestro - His skills have no ends. In September our Arcade Wars game of the month was played over Shadow Warriors. What is Arcade Wars? A monthly competition against the elite players from around the world to play Arcades, flex their skills and take pride in representing their home-town arcades with their likeminded mates. Ryan took the challenge up and completed a 1CC run on Shadow Warriors with a score of 350k, and in the process surpassed the current Twin Galaxies World Record 309k. He is considering taking that score & the full version of this video to take out, yet another, TG WR. Our Story

1UP Arcade opened its doors on May 13, 2017 with nearly 60 freeplay titles and expanded past 100 games before the end of that year. With a huge selection of fighters and a growing collection of action games, shooters and racing titles on offer, there's no better value for money than spending all day reliving your childhood favourites.

We tirelessly focus on the best arcade games from the 80’s and 90's era, with some newer and older titles to spice things up. We're talking games like Daytona, Raiden, Sega Rally, Metal Slug, The Simpsons, Out Run, NBA Jam, Shinobi, Wonder Boy, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Final Fight, just to name a few.

December 2017 saw our first major expansion, with the introduction of Brisbane’s largest selection of pinballs, and the opening of our retro console lounge.

As we approach our 2nd birthday this May 2019, the arcade now features over 170 original arcade games to play, and 33 pinballs!
