These two created an incredible day full of celebration. Their love for each other and their playful pups was infectious 🐾

Some of the many unique elements that made this day such a special one and a true reflection of them as a couple included:

✨Unplugged ceremony – with a twist:
They opted for an unplugged ceremony, however for a little fun they permitted all their guests to take a quick photo when the bride first arrived. Then phones went away so guests could relax and focus on enjoying all the happy feels of the ceremony.

✨The VIP’s - Very Important Pooches!
The couple decided to have their 2 much loved dogs present for the ceremony. Their dogs had their own special entrance down the aisle, with Rexie wearing a little tux and Sundae looking super sweet in a fresh flower lei.

✨Celebratory vibes with cocktail hour: With a focus on their day being a celebration that they wanted their guests to enjoy every moment of, the couple included cocktail hour furniture and a drinks bar, then after the ceremony, the newlyweds popped open the first bottle then everyone got straight into the celebrations 🍾

Krista and Ricky share a very special love and their family and friends thoroughly enjoyed every moment of witnessing them make it official at New Farm Park Rotunda.
Joining the celebrations were 2 very special VIP’s (Very Important Pooches!) Sundae & Rex the couples adorable fur babies.

Celebrant Cara was trusted with the roles of being both their Celebrant and providing the ceremony décor, and loved every moment of this day.

The super lovely couple, their excited and supportive guests and their awesome team of vendors, along with a thoughtfully planned day (cue the post ceremony cocktail hour drinkies) resulted in a brilliant energy throughout the celebrations and a day filled with laughter, love and sunshine!

Ellen + Luke’s + their very special guest of honour .thecorgi

When it came to planning their wedding and how it would feel, these two didn’t hesitate to do things their way, resulting in a wedding that was truly authentic to them.

The result: The most incredible day they genuinely and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of.

Highlights included:

✨Having their ‘first look’ photos together before the ceremony.

✨Inviting only their immediate family and besties to their ceremony, creating a relaxed, intimate atmosphere and minimising nerves.

✨Keeping it simple by saying the short, simple required vows instead of writing personalised vows, and instead having their Celebrant (hi, that’s me 👋🏻) share some of the many reasons they love each other during their ceremony.

✨Having their adorable pup .thecorgi excitedly present their rings while grinning from ear to ear.

✨Having their ceremony and story together delivered in a light and celebratory tone that everyone connected with and enjoyed.

✨Cocktail hour, having post ceremony celebratory drinks with their nearest and dearest, cherishing that time with them, including their grandparents at their stunning ceremony location (instead of dashing off for photos).

✨Unique details like how Ellen hand made Luke’s boutonnière’s with dried florals, which perfectly coordinated with the ceremony décor dried flowers and creating wedding newspapers for guests with games and a ‘couple quiz’.

The arrival // There are many different options for that walk down the aisle, and Caroline and Dan opted for one of our favs!
The relaxed and less traditional ‘arrival of the couple together.’ 🙌🏻

Marriage paperwork update 🎤

Over the last 2 years a temporary measure was put in place allowing us Celebrants to witness couples sign their NOIM forms via video call, due to the pandemic.
It’s certainly been convenient and speeded up the paperwork. 👏🏼

This measure is now coming to an end.
As of 1 January 2024, the all new NOIMs can only be signed and witnessed in the physical presence of an authorised witness (that’s us 🙋🏻‍♂️🙋🏼‍♀️)

We make the signing of NOIM forms easy at our private outdoor office, centrally located in Indooroopilly, where our meetings take place.

So no more video call NOIM signings. At least for now.
Except….if you’re keen and have access to a printer, video call NOIM signings can still take place today, and tomorrow morning. Don’t walk, run 🏃
For the swiftest response, please contact us via our website or phone.

Note: There is currently a bill before Parliament seeking to make remote witnessing of the NOIM a permanent option. If or when this will pass is not yet known.
So future readers of this post, if your reading this several months after it was posted, do check with us as this may have since reverted.
