As our business moves away from the use of plastic and chemical-full floral foam, I wanted to show some of the amazing pieces we made for our wedding using more sustainable mechanics like cement vessels, chicken wire and flower frogs. These are all super versatile and I love how these methods allow the flowers to drink water more effectively, especially helpful in our hot and thirsty climate!
Whilst we are a while away from being 100% sustainable, we are proud of making the changes we have so far and are committed to make more of them long-term within the business 🧡

Poppies + a party, these are a few of my favourite things!

I don’t think anyone could contest that poppies are simply heavenly and I just loved how they injected that extra brightness into my ceremony flowers.

Fast forward a few hours and everyone was boogeying on the dance floor thanks to the INCREDIBLE
I had seen them perform at another wedding and being unable to remember a more fun night, it was of huge importance that they be a part of our wedding too. Once again they absolutely brought the house down and with that, all my wedding dreams came true 🙌🏻

The Engineer’s Hut at Rivermakers Brisbane, the right wedding venue for us.

We had fallen in love with this riverfront precinct 6 months prior when we had lunch at Revel Brewery. It’s close to the city, has multiple function spaces with river views, lush landscaping, exposed brick and other heritage accents, lawn areas, plus a brewery AND distillery where we could kick on afterwards.

Jake and Nadine took great care of us and I cannot wait to be back there flowering for someone else’s wedding!
