The Blushery is now CLOSED for 2024! 🎉 After a year of weddings, fittings, and countless cups of herbal tea, Jodie (who is now quite elderly and annoyingly unwell), and Ruby (who desperately needs a nap), are taking a well-earned break.

We customized her Fervora gown by adding even more 3D flowers on her veil and bodice to amplify that gorgeous, floral look. Hey brides-to-be! I’m Jodie, the owner of The Blushery, and together with my lovely and very clever with a needle, assistant Ruby, we’re all about making your dream gown a reality! 💫

We’re proud to carry Luce Sposa and Olya Mak designs straight from Ukraine (fun fact: my husband’s Ukrainian… but he definitely can’t sew unless you need sutures 🤭). We also create our own stunning gowns right here in Brisbane, crafted by the most talented people, including us 💅

I have to tell you, I’m working on drawing fashion models. Spoiler: I suck right now 😂 but I’m learning with the Kerrie Hess fashion plate course. Luckily, my friend K is a genius and helps bring my visions to life until I get better!

Your wedding gown is one of the most important and most memorable purchases you will ever make. Finding your perfect dress is like all your Christmases have come at once, the feeling is just wonderful!

At Oh Hello Bride, we select bridal gowns which are easy to fall in love with. We stock the most beautiful gowns from all over the world and we also redesign fabulous vintage numbers or can create a gown especially for you. Our aim is to provide our brides with a gown that has had lots of love and attention to detail.

I have always had a great love for the eclectic, pretty, bespoke and well-made and I have tried to ensure that all areas of my life follow this mantra, whether it be home, fashion, events or businesses. My love for a good wedding also follows these self imposed rules and it is with this in mind that I have created my wedding gown salon, Oh Hello Bride.
