Rob's at the farm assessing berry quality on our young vine Glera (Prosecco). Planted in Dec 22 these vines are progressing super fast and in great health. Overall bunch numbers are low this season as you typically don't get a full crop until the 3rd or 4th year so we will be making a small batch wine from these precious grapes this coming vintage! 🫧 🍾

Meet the Farmer! Come down to the Albion cellar door this Friday and Saturday to meet Rob our viticulturist for the Lyra New Tricks vineyards. Order a wine and chat with Rob about how we grow grapes in the Granite Belt. Rob has even prepared a sample of our soils to show where the complex mineral flavors in our wines come from. Crushed quartz and decomposed Granite anyone? Come on down!

and inside the winery, new barrels are rolling in for preparation of vintage 👌 😎 the smell of our fresh oak barrels is out of this world, all winery tours will include a walk through of our dedicated climate controlled barrel room where we look forward to showing you how different barrels from different makers can impart their own unique character onto the wines we make.

The crane operators have been doing a good job navigating soft ground from a recent downpour we had at the winery build. Good to have such skilled operators on site, with such heavy loads these things can be quite tricky!

We have lots of friends in the vineyard right now! We are extremely conscious and always on the look out for animals in the vineyard so we can quietly move past and leave them undisturbed to enjoy the sun, shade, bugs and insects, which works with our approach of treating the vineyard as one whole natural ecosystem where balance is everything.
