Last night at Brisbane City Hall, Blooms by Bridie was awarded 2nd place 🥈at the Queensland ABIA Awards ( ). This is my 5th year being nominated and my 4th year in a row coming in 2nd.
And this year… it was by just 0.05%.

While I didn’t take home the win, I’m genuinely so grateful. These awards are voted entirely by couples, and knowing that my past couples consistently rate their experience so highly means a lot actually. It reassures me that the heart, care, and long hours I put into this little business are landing exactly where they should. With happy, content couples who are pleased they booked Blooms by Bridie.

I’m also incredibly proud to stand beside so many reputable businesses. Many of the finalists have large teams and big studios. Blooms by Bridie is run by just me, supported by my family who come with me for drives and help when I need a hand and my amazing freelance florist, Susan (who I would be absolutely buggered without).

Maybe one day I’ll finally catch that top spot, but for now, being the bridesmaid again isn’t so bad (she's says for a 4th year 😉 ).

Still obsessed with this bold bouquet of bright oranges, pinks and pops of red. The perfect match for such a radiant bride!

A moment for the bar florals please 🤌🏻

Bar florals at are a great idea. They're often the first arrangement guests see as they walk in via the side entryway and they can shimmy into the main bar after the ceremony.

🎉 Exciting News! 🎉

We’re thrilled to share that Blooms by Bridie has been proudly recognised as a Finalist in the prestigious 27th Queensland 🏆

This is my 5th year being a finalist and I'm so thankful.

Even though I've never been lucky enough to win, 2nd place for the last 3 years isn't bad. And who knows. .... Maybe this year is the year 🥰 Either way - I'm very grateful.

Emily's modern bouquet certainly deserves a spot on the feed.

Emily married her Tim on Wednesday with 25 of their closest friends and family at .carool , with a larger, separate gathering held later in the week.

Sam, from the get go, wanted a cascade style bouquet with all the mood and all the forest vibes.
