Shannen married her Kris in July this year at the gorg

Initially, Shannen was going to go with an 'earthy' palette for her bouquet, incorporating toffee / latte and other complimentary tones throughout, but as the date drew closer, Shannen and Kris decided to go the classic route. And I must say, white / ivory and greenery never disappoints. It's timeless / elegant and works with EVERYTHING.

I think removing the more earthy tones elevated Shannen's dress and Kris' suit to be more elegant, stepping away from a more boho feel that neutral, earthy tones can naturally give.

This is your reminder that it's okay to change your mind on your colours. So many couples do alter their colours as the date draws closer and that's more than okay.

Jodie chose such a bright mix of florals for her special day, and if you've been following me for a while now, you'll know that I'm HERE FOR IT !

I love how the varied light in each pic captures different elements of the bouquet.

That first pic, it's the moodiness of the wax flower and the cinnamon dahlia for me.
In the second pic its those lemon ranuncs that pop in the sun
And in the third pic its that mustard ranunc at the front there. Sahhh pretty !

🎉🎉 IT'S MY 5th BIRTHDAAAYYYYYYY ! 🎉🎉

Well not actually myyyy birthday (obvs. I'm not 5yo 😉), but Blooms by Bridie's Birthday or Business Anniversary.....if you will 🤌🏻🤌🏻

Five years ago this week, I took my first booking and since the get-go all I can say is that it's been a hell of a ride. 2019 - not a great year to start a biz 😉

Since then, I've flowered for 275+ weddings and another 25 or so corporate events - all unique and special to me.

Running your own business isn't easy; particularly from a home based studio where 'work is always there', but honestly I do love it. If I didn't love it, I wouldn't continue doing it. So for as long as I enjoy it, I'll keep going.

🌸 Thanks to my friends for putting up with my awkward AF social life availability and for kicking me up the butt when I've needed it.

🌸 Thank you to the other vendors who recommend me, support me, refer me to their couples and are just general cheer squads - I love it and appreciate you all so much.
🌸 A big thank you to my freelancer Susan who helps me 'reign it in' when I'm getting a bit out of hand (which can be a lot)
🌸 And most importantly my husband who helps me in all aspects of my business (but particularly emotionally) and puts up with my constant wedding chat (and for being chill about the flowers infiltrating the living area from time to time) 😉

So much has been achieved in these five years and I'm so grateful.

Beautiful Taylor and her Ryan were married early May at the stunning Preston Peak in Toowoomba.

It was so lovely to be a part of Taylor and Ryan's day, after being lucky enough to be Taylor's Sister's florist two years ago.

It always makes my heart happy when I get invited back into families special occasions. The last few months this has happened a few times, whether it be friends / family etc, and honestly, I love it so much.

Maddy and Don were married at Gabbinbar last year, and repurposed their ceremony floor pieces in front of their cake table (always a winner) and had their arbour florals hung on the back wall of the Gabbinbar Conservatory by yours truly. SO PRETTY ! It made their cake cutting memory even more magical, especially when combined with the shower of firework sparklers. So, so sweet.

Gorg Priya married her Craig at in December, last year. Priya initially wanted to go with a classic white + greenery bouquet, but along the planning process changed her mind to incorporate some jewelled toned florals, which totally suited her venue.

This is a reminder that it's okay to change your mind on colours as your planning develops. Often the only way this increases pricing is if you wish to include less foliage, or incorporate more high-end florals like peonies and orchids.

Myola Estate ( ) is a sweet AirB&B venue that will soon be accepting elopements and in the future intimate wedding receptions. I honestly cannot wait !

Situated at Kings Scrub, Dayboro; Myola Estate has city views, breath taking mountains and most importantly, privacy ! The homestead is a gorgeous Queenslander style home and has retained its original charm, making it the real secluded getaway (whilst still being stones throw from civilisation and shops! So not too secluded 😉). How beautiful are these images taken on their wrap veranda. The ideal spot for your pre-wedding images.

A glimpse into a magical day at / for Jenny and Josh 🍇💍 I loved creating Jen's elegant bouquets to her table arrangements (including the bridal table hedge picture above) and ceremony florals (also featured above).
