Memories : AUGUST 2018
Omg 3 years ago I was on the back of a tractor picking the exact pretty petals I was to use in my business called My Dainty Affair based in Central Queensland - it feels like a life time ago this was my world. 🚜
Selling a business is such a personal and difficult decision . Not every small business is a success and some at this point are struggling like crazy to keep afloat . I miss this life - the smell of the dirt and the heat ( and of course all those gorgeous backpackers picking in the paddocks 😍) .
But it reminds me to always support local businesses to help them grip on through this crazy time ! Support local ❤️

Do you just grab a cheap bunch at The Supermarket ????
Did you know they are more often than not completely and utterly 💯 imported!
There is no real regulation to the market allowing for no consumer awareness or stickers or labels on where or how the flowers are sourced .
I’ve been lucky enough to have had access directly to flower and foliage farms in Queensland. My last business I owned and operated in Central Qld entire business model was based on the farms - sourcing as much as I could from these beautiful Bundaberg farms -
Please just be a little aware , that by supporting supermarket flowers it puts our own Australian farms at the real risk of being priced out completely - by these cheap imports. 💚💛

Try and buy Australian 🌸🙏
Ask your florist or market stall holder where the blooms are from and let’s try and work together to get supermarkets to label ALL products !

It is always a special moment and one I always have a little tear ( I know I’m a sook ) .
