𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞, 𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐲 Victor Soussan 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 Shannons Classic Bike Broadford "The gap year".

The 77-year-young had his first go back on a race track in a bit over ten years today aboard a 1986 Ducati 750 F1 machine.

What a sight to behold this was 🙌

For those who might not know who Victor is, allow us to give you a snapshot of who he is...

He competed in the MotoGP World Championship spanning from 1977 – 1979 racing in the World 350cc and 250cc Championship.

In the 250cc World Championship, Soussan recorded three top five finishes from a total of twelve race starts, which also included two third places which he scored at the 1977 French Grand Prix and 1979 Venezuela Grand Prix.

In the 350cc World Championship, the French Moroccan descent scored five top five finishes from fourteen race starts, racking up a total of 63-championships along the way.

Not only that, Soussan also competed in the Isle of Man TT, finishing in seventh place in the 1972 Production 250TT race with a time of 1:54:18.60.

It sure was great to see him back on track again 👊

As the on track action on Day 1 draws to a close and we settle into our onsite camps, we cannot wait for dawn when Day 2 promises to be even bigger and better. On road and off road action will be backed up tomorrow with a live band Threezzacrowd - a treat as the sun goes down.

He did for me! a new little DT for me to get ride around at Vinduro events when I play paramedic.

With many people messaging us, disappointed the 2023 Broadford Bike Bonanza was not going ahead, we decided to keep the theme alive until the Museum & Heritage Committee and Motorcycling Australia are ready to run again.

With thanks to our sponsors Shannons Insurance and Motorcycling Victoria, we hope you will support us by making the pilgrimage to Broadford, Easter 2023

Enjoy, 3 days of riding for Pre-1997 road bikes, race bikes, vindro and trials bikes
and 2 days of riding for speedway and dirt track bikes.

Broadford Bike Bonanza (BBB) - 2023

After much consideration, the Motorcycling Australia Museum and Heritage Committee have come to the difficult decision not to promote the Broadford Bike Bonanza (BBB) for 2023.

All efforts will now focus on running the event in 2024.

The significant reason for this decision was that, at this stage, the committee does not have sufficient resources available to manage the administrative work in relation to the event.

Cancellation for the 2023 year will allow time to restructure the committee and investigate the best means of handling the administrative work associated with the event.

The committee can be extremely proud that the BBB has become a significant event in the Australian motorcycle calendar and the committee is determined to maintain the event and ensure it can continue for future years whilst maintaining the high standards that have become expected from past years.
