A Plus turns 7 🍾

7 years ago today, we launched A Plus Events.
Our aim was to create memorable events, by exceeding expectations with personalised service and premium products.

What a journey it’s been. We’ve learnt so much about ourselves, our capabilities. We’ve curated an incredible team and been apart of some wonderful events.

Thank you to those that have supported us over the past 7 years.

Next year looks a little different for us, with the business up for sale. We will keep you updated.

A Plus Events is growing!

We are on the hunt for some casual Event Crew members to join our awesome team.

The role includes:
- Setting up a wide range of events
- Packing and unloading vehicles
- Moving furniture into location
- Deliveries
- Some aspects of event styling

Please note – there is a physical aspect to the role, the desired applicant needs to be physically fit and able due to the nature of our work.
A lot of our events are held outdoors and take place over the weekends, with some late night packdowns.
Weekend availability is paramount.

The role would suit someone looking for part time work, or additional work on the weekends.
Applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence.
We are looking for someone reliable, who shows attention to detail and works well with a team.

Just me gushing over Naomi the beautiful bride.

It’s not often we get to see the bride and groom on the day. We sneak in before and after the wedding, making sure it’s seamless, ready and beautiful for the couples. So one the rare chance I do get to see the bride, I’m always awe struck! Forever jealous of the celebrants and photographers that get to witness all the beautiful moments.

If you’d told me back in 2018 we would eventually be setting up long table dinners for 500 people, I wouldn’t have believed you.

Grateful for those events at the start of our journey, this long table dinner was an annual friends dinner and we loved being apart of it!

A little update from us.

As we venture into our 7th year of operation, we have made the tough decision to list A Plus Events Hire & Styling for sale.
In 2022 my husband purchased another local Broome Business and over this time we have found running two businesses simultaneously quite challenging.

We believe it’s the right time for someone to come in with a renewed passion and drive for our beautiful little events business.
The decision was not made lightly. We want to assure you that our commitment to providing exceptional service remains unwavering during this period.

Throughout this process, our priority will continue to be ensuring a smooth transition for our customer. We are working diligently to find the right buyer who shares our values and commitment to excellence. We will keep you updated with any developments along the way.

In the meantime, it will be business as usual and you can continue to expect the same level of quality service you have come to reply on.

If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Long table decor doesn’t need to be complicated. Simple, yet stunning flowers, candles to set the mood. By the time you add your cutlery, crockery, glassware and of course guests belongings the tables tend to get crowded. Less is always more in my opinion.

Thrilled to have been asked to set up, coordinate and MC this incredible wedding at Forrest Rise over the weekend. Wish I snapped some more pics, but as you can imagine it was a big day!

The sun has officially set on 2023.

A year that saw A Plus create just shy of 200 individual events. A year filled with beautiful couples, starting their married lives together, of memorable birthday celebrations and epic community events.
Another year down where our A Plus team continued to show that their support, kindness and unwavering ability to put up with my signing knew no bounds.
A year where we once again had the privilege of working with the most talented, supportive, wonderful Broome vendors.
Where we were also able to celebrate our own wedding and discover some sort of work life balance.
What a year it’s been ✨

Grateful for all the support you’ve shown our little business in 2023 and we are so excited as we head into 2024 and our 7th year of operation.

That said, we are taking a little break from social media to recharge and reset, ready for another beautiful year ahead. We are on emails and replying to all your enquires.

It’s been a whirlwind year for us at A Plus.
In-between creating so many magical events big and small we also managed to slip in our own wedding.

We are about to take a break to enjoy our honeymoon and indulge on red wine in Italy for the month of October.

Our incredible team will be on the ground delivering all the events pre booked for the month of October (and boy is there a lot).
To ensure the team can deliver these events we have made the decision to close October to any additional event bookings.

We are a small but mighty team.
We appreciate your understanding that we won’t be able to accommodate last minute bookings no matter how small. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.

Thank you to all the couples who trusted us with their big day this year. Thank you to other vendors that offered coffee, words of support and encouragement and thank you mostly to our team. None of it, including a holiday is possible without you.
