Chris Graham is the Head Professional at Ocean Shores Country Club, this is where he can be found and where he provides his coaching services. A well known local from the Northern Rivers, Chris began his career and developed his passion for the game of golf as a Junior Amateur and PGA trainee at Mullumbimby Golf Club. Chris continued his car

eer at the Byron Bay Golf Club, working with Rhys Wright and gaining valuable experience in management as well as developing an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the golfing industry. Chris now manages the Ocean Shores Country Club Pro Shop and, as a PGA Head Professional, coaches members and social players, as well as running an increasingly popular Junior Clinic on Saturdays. In 2017, Chris began as the Head Coach of the North Coast Academy of Sport Junior Golf Development Squad based at Ocean Shores Country Club, coaching twelve selected Junior Golfers each year. Chris’s dedication and commitment to the game of Golf has seen him grow into a popular and highly skilled golf coach, respected by all in the Northern Rivers golfing community.

Saturday I had the privilege of meeting not only the course designer of Ocean Shores Country Club but also an Australian Golfing legend in Bruce Devlin.
In 1970 Bruce won the World Cup of Golf with David Graham, 8 PGA Tour wins and Finished in the top 10 of majors 16 times. This is a small snap shot of his golfing career. Bruce then went onto course design where he has now designed and built over 143 course world wide, with one of his first being Ocean Shores. When Bruce partnered with Robert Von Hagge to build Ocean Shores they also redesigned the Lakes in Sydney as the council had made plans to put the freeway through the middle of the course. Bruce also established the Devlin Foundation that is a charity giving back to junior golf.
