Did you know that bookweek is coming? We have opened up the shipping container and pulled out the Costumes from Costume Wonderland and set them up at Riverfeast. Come on down tomorrow any time after 9am. All kids costumes $20 all adults $30. All accessories half price.

Lisa is off for some well deserved R and R in Bali for the next week. Emails and messages will be attended to on my return.

Just a note regarding 2024 bookings. We have closed our bookings for the year, with some DIY options still available. I have one Saturday between now and Christmas that I am not working creating beautiful events for my lovely clients.

If you have something in the pipeline that you need help with please remember to reach out early. Next year we already have some months at capacity already, and I will be crossing out some weekend family times also. If I can't help you, I can ofter direct you to someone that can, so keep in touch.

A very very special wedding on the weekend.

Col and Julie have created something really special at Platypus Park Riverside Retreat and it has been a favourite venue of mine for years.

We have had our own personal family wedding on site, we have seen the gardens maturing and the changes that have happened from that very first visit when the concrete trucks were on-site and the vision was being built. And it was a big vision!

To be asked to help with their own daughter Elise Pearson to her love Luke Gerry was an honour. Elise you have stunning taste and organisation and your vision was simply stunning. I wish you both all the happiness that such a beautiful hearted couple deserve.

Col and Julie, take a bow, the years of watering, caring, mowing (seriously, Col lives on that mower!) and building this dream venue has paid off in one of the most beautiful weddings I have witnessed. I really wanted to get this photo of the both of you looking so very gorgeous and surrounded by what you have built. Congratulations!!!

Wow wow how awesome was Taste festival! So many amazing events at so many venues. Back to back events with Childers festival also.

We have a bit of a back log of emails to get through after spending the last 14 days out on site across the region. Please always call if you need anything urgently.

We are greatly looking forward to our next adventure as a family. Only a few days to go to pack all the event gear away and then pack for our trip south to visit family and see snow and make memories. I will have limited contact until November.

If you need anything please organise with me in the next 3 days or you will miss out! I will have a skeleton staff here working.

Some.photos of the various events, some we helped host, some we worked, some we were guests, but all were great fun and it was amazing to work and rub shoulders with some of the local suppliers, staff, council and even a few celebrities!

Very excited to be bringing an event to the Taste Bundaberg Festival together with Bay Fusion Food Design and the Ridgee Didge Bush band, we have the Taste of Bundaberg Bush Dance.

Bring the whole family along, tickets are available for just entry to the Bush dance or a beautiful Country inspired Buffet. For those that are wanting a more casual food experience we have food stall style options, like delicious loaded Sweet potato fries, Charred corn on cob, Loaded fries with pulled pork and house made BBQ sauce, and so many more. The bar is open all night until 11pm.

Never danced before? Don't worry, the band will lead and guide the dances and you will twirl and laugh you way through the night.

Tickets to these Taste Events sometimes sell out in minutes, so we have put on 2 nights of fun for the whole family, Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th. Jump on quickly to secure your tickets, before they sell out.

What a year we have had at Once Upon a Party. Many celebrations of every variety and across so many venues. From planning to decorating, to styling and DIY kits, right through to Event management and Catering and Bar staff. We thank each and every client for trusting us with your event and look forward to 2023. We are already booked to capacity for some months and 2024 is looking busy also. Whilst we might be a little slower We, we are still contactable over the break.

From our family to yours, Merry Christmas. Take some time to spend with family and friends, get on the floor and play with the kids, go to the beach, dance around a fire, visit someone you have lost touch with, don't drink too much and let's throw ourself into 2023 with hearts full of thankfulness and excitement about creating new memories with those we hold dear.
