It's been a huge month, and more - the preparations for Frocktober 2023 began at the start of this year for my flowers and fruit theme and I'm happy to say the hard work paid off with over $6500 raised for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation!
A huge thank you to the friends and family who helped, everyone who donated, bought brooches, came to events, provided venues, gave prizes, bought raffle tickets, sponsored events - I'm eternally gratefully!
And it's not too late - if you haven't had a chance yet my account will still be open for a while and all contributions are most appreciated - www.frocktober.org.au/my-fundraising/3505/claire-turfreyπππ
Congratulations to our Frocktober raffle winners and thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and donated prizes!
What a day! Thanks so much to everyone who came along and supported our Frocktober flower crown fundraising event for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) - I'm super excited to say we raised a bit over $2000!
Big shout-out to the wonderful Jessica Gardam for her organising efforts, Kitty Flesfader for her creativity and filming this reel, to the Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden for letting us use their tearooms, Dowling's Flowers for the blooms, Tasfresh and West Park Grove IGA for help with catering, Caroline Dunn and Encore Performing Arts Studio for the music, Talena Valmai Photography for photos and my beautiful Mum Vivienne Sweetman for all her help. π
Frocktober fundraising brooches are starting to make their way out all over the country - thanks so much for the orders so far! πππ
All the purple and pink-haired pretties are gone, but there are still a few golden girls so head to clairemakesthings.bigcartel.com to adopt yours - all profits will be donated to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
I hope you enjoy this little peek into the making process - if only it was really this quick! Especially when you times it by 90... And I forgot to show painting the shoes and glueing the brooch back too!
If you're not a brooch-wearer donations are gratefully received at www.frocktober.org.au/my-fundraising/3505/claire-turfrey
*UPDATE - purple and pink hair now sold out, gold still available. π
Thanks to the beautiful people who have already ordered a Frocktober fundraising brooch! They are now being promoted to the wide world so if you haven't secured yours yet head over to clairemakesthings.bigcartel.com quick smart! πππ
Orders for my Frocktober fundraising brooches are open early for my lovely supporters! There are very limited pieces available so head to clairemakesthings.bigcartel.com before it's open to the public on Sunday night. π
