Introducing our our all local line up for 🌳 The Canopy Club #012 🌴!

Aidan Knox, the home grown talent and production wizard is in pole position this week to celebrate the release of his latest single 'Afterparty' on After Midnight Sounds. As one of our regions best hidden gems, he is fast becoming one of our best musical exports, with an arsenal of original releases on both local, and international labels including Rawsome Recordings (US) and Maison Cambridge (UK). And with an EP on the way which is also set to be released on yet another international label... we highly recommended you catch him in this intimate setting before he blows up!

MY HAPPY PLACE has been a staple of the local scene here in Byron, delivering good times to everyone several nights a week, for well over a decade as the Woody's resident. Known for his deep musical vocabulary and versatility in the booth, we know he savours the opportunity to play unrestricted and has journey in store for The Canopy Club.

KQueen is the queen of the Clitoverse, an exciting new event label dedicated to providing a platform and elevating female artists from across the region. A boss in both life and the booth, KQueen's set is guaranteed to get the party started and ya booty's a shakin!

Hogez is one of Byron's most talented and driven new additions to the local scene. With a distinct sonic style, he is dedicated to the music, and has been exploring all realms of dance and expanding his repertoire since being a runner up in the Sydney YOUR SHOT 2022 competition and landing a residency at Lovers Lane, combing that style with his experiences to create a sound that is uniquely Hozeg!

Setting the sounds this Sunday at 🌳 The Canopy Club #011 🌴 is one part of the Le rendez-vous collective, our dear friend, the party starter, Eluos!

Hailing from Basque country France, Vincent has called Byron Bay home for several years now, firmly establishing himself in the local underground music scene - lending a hand both in production and behind the decks to an array of parties, events and festivals.

Prior to his arrival in Australia, Vincent was an event DJ / promotor in his home city of Toulouse, throwing events in some of the most breath taking alpine locations imaginable. He was also the co founder of an immensely popular YouTube channel - curating mixes to millions in his spare time!

Known for his deep vocabulary of electronic music and his enthusiasm behind the decks, when ELUOS delivers his impeccable selections and hypnotic groove, the dance floor can't help but move!

Make sure you get down early to soak up the sounds of Eluos!

On sunset for 🌳 The Canopy Club #011 🌴 is an artist that needs little introduction, a staple, nay, icon of the local scene, Si Clone!

"Bay FM resident techno and taco aficionado Si Clone certainly knows a thing or two about selecting records and is well regarded as a veteran of the techno genre in the Northern Rivers region.

Originally hailing from Brisbane but based in Byron Bay (Australia) since 2000, Si Clone has played his quirky deep underground rhythms up and down the east coast of Australia from Tassie to Cairns and back since 1996. Si is booked regularly on the outdoor festival circuit and also plays frequent club gigs supporting international djs at a number of different venues locally and interstate.

Si has also presented his own webcast radio program 'Submerged' radio on Bay FM 99.9 since 2000 and also for 3 years prior to that on Noosa Community Radio."

"Passionate club night founder and DJ Jessie Belters has been promoting and smashing dancefloors around the world since 2017.

Since making the move down under from her homeland Wales, UK, where she played a prominent part in the expansion of the capital's growing music scene, Jessie has become a host on Sydney’s Orbital Radio with her show “Strictly Belters” and co-runs events with her collectives “Cloud 909” in Sydney and the newly formed "Northern Rhythms" in the Northern Rivers where she is now based.

Known for her huge knowledge of musical genres and as a “keeper of the flame”, she is capable of effortlessly weaving sounds together with equal measures of ease and style. Headlining the 🌳 The Canopy Club #011 🌴 is one of the most talented, beloved and industrious members of our local scene, Iain Yes!

"Currently working full time as a DJ, Iain Yes (Scotland/AUS) has been producing music, promoting and playing at festivals, clubs and parties around the world for 20 years, with over 1000 gigs under his belt (over 100 in 2022 alone), he definitely knows good music when he hears it.

Not one to be constrained by genre, expect plenty of surprises as this versatile DJ mixes, cuts and scratches high energy, party rocking tunes with plenty of turntable trickery. After spending years honing his skills playing gigs all around the world, he is as comfortable playing underground techno in sweaty basements and festival dance floors as he is spinning forgotten rare-groove vinyl on sun-kissed terraces.

Over the last couple of years he has been focusing most of his spare time in the studio with multiple releases under his MINOR CIRCUIT alias and a slew of original productions and remixes in the bag.

First up at 🌳 The Canopy Club #010 🌴 this Sunday is local lord and fixture of the Lismore scene, the heart of the rainbow region, OVALS!

Mitch / Slavo / Ovals has been apart of the local dance scene from the moment he was legally able. On the dfloor, at the bar, behind decks, OVALS is all about spreading the good vibes and times.

As the resident at the Metropole and staple across NNSW, OVALS always shares his sounds and good vibes with a big smile and open arms.

Know to nail a set no matter what the time or vibe, OVALS is all about getting the crowd up rump shakin and having a good boog. Then leaving the dfloor in a state of euphoria, hugging and holding hands.

We are frothing to finally have OVALS making his way down the Bruxner, to lay down the vibe for the very first Canopy Club set ever at our new home Lovers Lane!

Next up for 🌳 The Canopy Club #010 🌴 we have the deep and adept Razah providing us the sounds on sunset!

Originally from Porta Alegre, Brazil, Razah is now based here in Australia on the Gold Coast, where he has firmly established himself in the underground club and festival industry.

Falling in love with the music and scene here in Australia, he decided shortly after to pursue his own musical journey and has since delved deep, constantly improving his sonic vocab and growing as a creative entity.

Renown for his mix of propulsive Deep, Melodic and Minimal House, Razah has risen rapidly through the ranks due to his dedication to the artform having played the likes of Rabbits Eat Lettuce, S.A.S.H and Eden QLD. You can also find him regularly slinging his signature sounds as a resident at the iconic elsewhere.

Hot off the back of playing Apuama Festival in Brazil and INITIATION NYE, and after being rained out back in October, we know Razah is extra keen to share his sounds with us at The Canopy Club!

Next up on our 🌳 The Canopy Club #010 🌴 line up is Karussell Records label boss and international jet setter, the wild child of dance Dan.B!

Originally hailing from Switzerland and honing his craft in the clubs of Berlin, Dan.B is the epitome of the nomadic DJ - from Byron > Sydney > Melbourne > Bali > Berlin and back, he regularly performs at some of the best clubs, events and festivals across the globe.

Known best for his high energy, funky ass sets, Dan's music selection and skills behind the decks are nothing short of worlds class!

As best buds with Danni B, and also with an extra special guest alongside him we know Dan.B gonna get the canopy proper pumping!

On headlining duties this Sunday, bringing a wealth of dance knowledge and experience to 🌳 The Canopy Club #010 🌴 to help us settle into our new space, is the amazing Danni B!

Danni has been a fixture of the Australian and European club scenes for close to twenty years, having started her journey curating parties in Sydney in the mid 2000's. After her first performance in Europe in 2011, Danni relocated to Berlin, touring the continent for the best part of a decade.

Since moving back to Australia in 2019 she has hit the ground running launching her own touring label DB Touring and event label with good friend Cassette, BodyWork. Whilst also holding down residencies for S.A.S.H, in both Sydney & Brisbane, and also managing the Gold Coast arm of the global brand.

Trust us, you don't want to miss Danni B this Sunday... after being rained out backed in October we know she is extra excited to sharing her musical journey with us at The Canopy Club!

🦋 The Spotted Quoll
🔎 Dasyurus maculatus

The once abundant and widespread Spotted Quoll is endemic to Australia and historically found in the forests along the east coast of Australia.

Although it's not an 'endangered' species The Spotted Quoll is essentially non existent in our region, primarily due to habitat loss and the introduction of feral cats. Now an extremely rare sighting locally, populations now exist in small segregated patches of forest across in it's enormous former range.

Once the apex predator of the area, their numbers have dropped to 'functionally extinct' since the destruction of the Big Scrub.

Having quickly earned a reputation for her killer track selection and seamless integration, Halo is a rising key player in the North Coast underground.

She is resident DJ & co-founder of the Beat Fleet boat parties, as well as Tweed Shire’s newest party, Playground, & regularly ignites crowds at local Byron events including Sunday Kicks, the Durrumbal Hall Wiggle parties, NYE at Kohinur Hall, Warm Up, 2020 Vision, Nudge Nudge Wink Wink & Lab Leaked Beats. She plays at Elsewhere on the Gold Coast & 2022 saw her major festival debut at Splendour in the Grass, with two slots at Tipi Forest Stage.

An icon of the NNSW and SEQ underground dance music industry, Jimmy has played nearly every club, event festival our region has had to offer. A staple of the Byron scene for decades, he is now based out of the GC as resident at the temple of dance elsewhere, hosting the well renown Sunday Royal, the home of Super Music.

It always a treat when Jimmy D comes back to town to share his sounds!
