It’s the first weekend of SUMMER and it’s my birthday on Sunday - all the reasons for popping champagne and celebrating life and love 🥂🥳

I have two more weddings later in December but this weekend is a rare weekend off. The silly season is well and truly here but I’ll be kicking back for some much needed beach time ⛱️

For those of you who are new here, I’m throwing down a few random facts - after all, it’s a personal biz and I’m all for sharing!

☕️ The rhythm of my days ~ coffee at 6am, often a G&T around 6 🍸 and always some 🍫 once the sun goes down.

🎤 I fell into ‘celebranting’ in my mid twenties; the intention was to facilitate something special for my friends but it soon became a thriving side project, and so different to being a Marketing Manager in the Action Sports industry!

🚤 I grew up waterskiing and riding dirt bikes surrounded by boys - definitely not afraid of getting dirty.

🕺 Hiphop, funk, breakbeats for ever ~ if it’s playing I am dancing (these days mostly in the kitchen or car 😜)

🧑🏼‍🦰🧒🏼 👩🏻‍🦰 Mum of 3 (2 redheads + a blond) so life is busy and chaotic.

🤓 I am slightly freaking out about getting older (i just picked up my first ever pair of glasses for reading 📕 and my alter-ego “Tina” rarely makes an appearance these days. But she’s not quite dead yet!

🌊 I love the ocean and the snow ❄️ these days it’s way harder to go snowboarding with 3 x kids in tow but this year the goal has been to save for Japan and we’ll be there in Feb! 🇯🇵 🏂

👩‍❤️‍👨 Life is never without its challenges and in my family – it’s my Dad’s Alzheimers. Being a celebrant is cathartic, stepping into a world of joy every few days is a constant reminder of how important it is to pause, to celebrate love and bring your people together for memory making.

Laid-back lovin’ ☁️

Local lovers, Nick & Lizzy held their ceremony by the beach at Lennox Head.

Floating on a love high at dusk with the incredible behind the lens. Nina and I work together ALL the time (especially this wedding season) and whenever I know she is my couple’s chosen photographer, I know they are in for magic like these pics (swipe right)

I’m all about the super chill, relaxed vibe - it always results in moments of pure joy captured like these… to remember forever.

Throwing back to say happy anniversary to these two legends…The energy for Karls & George was electric ⚡️⚡️ there’s no other way to describe it.

Dancing into their ceremony, the vibes were always going to be fully charged.

So many people cheering these two into marriage followed by surprise guest flash mobs, music, glamping - a weekend WedFest to remember forever. ⛺️🕺🎤⚡️💜

Ceremony Time with Danielle & Cameron ~

I stand with my couples for a few precious moments during the ceremony. For most of the ceremony you’ll find me slightly off to the side but I’m never in the one spot and like to move around.

I also turn into your mic stand during vows (swipe right for pic 4) I’m actually tucked in behind Cam but almost impossible to see!

I’m loving these ceremony moments captured by White Leaf ~ a mix of storytelling, helping Cam to relax and giggle before the processional, calming nerves and bringing warmth & positivity.

♡ How Maddi & Nick Created Their Dream Wedding👇🏼

❊ Spilling the beans…. 💬🗣️🎙️ uncovering the beautiful details about their story allowed me to craft a unique ceremony that was equal parts lighthearted & romantic.

❊ Embracing their own style – including their beloved horses 🐴 wearing cowboy boots (and hats), bouquets of native flowers 🤠👢🪷

❊ Being open to changing the ceremony location due to the last day of winter being a 35 degree day 🥵 Their original location on the farm was exposed, whilst the fig tree 🌳provided comfort & shade

❊ Being present in the moment & feeling every emotion 🥹🤗 😍

Stepping In....

In the celebrant world I’m part of, it’s a very rare thing not to be able to make it on the day. You’ll often find celebrants delivering ceremonies for their couples in the hardest of personal circumstances (I’ll never forget the day I had to leave my 2 year old in hospital with my parents watching over him until I returned from a wedding)

On very rare occurrences there is a need to ask someone we know and trust to step in.

This week is one of those weeks. My friend experienced the loss of her beloved Dad and so, she placed two of her couples’ in my hands. Millie & Josh, and Mia & Sean were married by me, in a ceremony crafted by Cara.

The transition was smooth, I met with both couples, we had rehearsals, paperwork was transferred and I learnt the ceremony scripts. It was a privilege to bring both ceremonies to life.

Cara was always in my heart, especially today ❤️‍🩹 and it’s a beautiful thing to know that she and others (you know who you are) wouldn’t hesitate to step in for me should the time ever arise ♡

Lou had just walked down the aisle. When hearts are bursting with emotion, taking a moment to pause together is always a good idea.

The best moments in life seem to go by so fast…. so I tell my couples to take it easy, hugs are awesome, allowing you to settle into moment and slow down time.

Anyone out there like to playing Cupid? 💘

Ben’s aunt was the one who had an inkling her colleague Chelsea may just be the perfect girl for Ben. And her good intuition couldn’t have been more on point 👌🏼

It takes a little bravery to be set up, after all the dating world can serve up hours of fruitless conversation and hours you’ll never get back.

But these two are so grateful that they took a chance on love, a chance that well and truly paid off.

We celebrated Ben & Chelsea’s love in style ~ a winter romance that exuded old world charm and all of the romance.

ALL THE GOOD THINGS

I loved planning this ceremony with Ash & Tom. It was equal parts fun and sincere. 

We laughed, cried & hugged 🥹😂🤗 There were bubbles 🫧 and lots of barks from their pup, Vader 🐶

It’s JULY and that means winter wedding magic ✨

This month I am marrying some incredible couples…
I’ll be at…

for a big wedding with over 100 for a party in the paddock,

for a very intimate elopement

for a micro wedding by the beach

+ a very sweet legals only on the beach….

And before we know it, it’ll be August and spring wedding season will kick right off.
