Letโs talk La Parmigiana! ๐โจ Born in Naples, this iconic dish is a masterpiece of layers: crispy fried eggplant, rich tomato sauce, gooey mozzarella, and a sprinkle of parmesan baked to golden perfection. Fun fact? Itโs called parmigiana not because of Parmesan cheese, but because itโs thought to be named after parmiciana, the wooden slats of shutters that the eggplant layers resemble! ๐คฏ
