In business, I was taught to educate your customers so they can make informed decisions. So this post is to educate all the flower buyers and hopeless romantics buying this Valentines Day and throughout the year 💞
A reminder to purchase from your local florists and not a middle-man 3rd party flower network.
When you drive around town, do you see an actual Interflora, Bloomex, Petals, Lily's Florist, or Easy Flowers florist? No? Me neither. These mega corporate companies set up websites and act like a local florist but expect real local florist to fill their heavily photoshopped orders at price gauging margins while paying peanuts to the florist that did the work. These 3rd parties take anywhere between a 35-65% commission. 🤢🤮
But did you know, on page 2 of Google, or on Google maps, you can find every legitimate real local florist whether they be home based like myself or brick and mortar on the high street, or at the local markets or roadsides. We are the real florists serving this community. When you spend money with your local florist, you get every penny worth of flowers, and keep the doors of your local florist open as well as food on the table for the farmers that painstakingly grow your flowers. Flowers don't just pop up overnight. They take months of work and skill and preparation. So please, when you buy flowers, this Valentines Day, and throughout the year, support your local florist.
