CELEBRATING 45 YEARS OF CREATIVITY WITH FIBRECRAFTERS FNQ INC. 🎉

On May 21, 1980, their journey began with a meeting at the TAFE library, inspired by a radio ad calling for anyone passionate about spinning and weaving. That day, The Northern Spinners and Weavers was born, with Sheila Roberson as the first President.

Over the years, they’ve grown, evolved, and embraced countless textile-related crafts, from spinning, weaving, and fabric dyeing to bobbin lace, knitting, crocheting, felting, basketry, and more! To reflect this creative diversity, they became Fibrecrafters FNQ Inc.

As they celebrate 45 incredible years of artistry, learning, and community, they hope to continue to inspire, create, and share the joy of fibre crafts for many more years to come!
