So happy my astilbe has bloomed in time to use in the kissing booth floral installation at Little Burley tomorrow morning. I thought perhaps I had missed the first flush of roses but all is good - still managed to get 5 buckets full. 💕💕💕 Also, just letting you know that we’re not selling flowers tomorrow - we’re just there to pretty things up and to have fur baby fun!

I had the pleasure of attending a workshop on sustainable floral wreaths by the talented Narelle of and last Saturday. The result was an attractive and robust wreath made from compostable materials - hessian, string, damp moss and dried grapevine wrapped in fresh leaves and adorned with locally grown flowers. Time consuming but absolutely worth it!
