I'm here to help you create the ceremony of your dreams, by sharing your story in a way that is uniquely-you. I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where I work and live, the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people, and pay my respects to Elders past and present. I celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.

It’s been a hot minute since I last visited my family overseas - so I’ll be out of office for the next 5 weeks!

During this time, I’ll be checking my emails intermittently to respond to urgent enquiries from my wonderful couples… but otherwise, you’ll find me laying in the sun enjoying some long awaited rest!

THE CELEBRANT LURK || no one wants their celebrant front and centre of their ‘first kiss’ photo… so I’ll just be cheekily lurking behind, blending into the background or hiding behind the nearest Haya-sized object.

UNPLUGGED || have you considered whether you’d like your guests to put their phones away during the ceremony?

Asking for an unplugged ceremony is one way to make sure your guests are truly present on the day. Let’s have a chat about how you can incorporate this into your ceremony!

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY || To all the incredible women who have fought for equality and paved the way, thank you.

This is my mother. She is fierce, courageous and beautiful. She taught me to stand up for myself, follow my dreams, and to advocate for others who cannot advocate for themselves… and she is slowly teaching me how to do bookkeeping 😅 Growing up, I watched my mother as she opened her heart and our home to all in need. She is the best role model I could ask for, and a woman worthy of honour this International Women’s Day.

WHY || DID YOU BECOME A CELEBRANT?

I have always loved bringing people together and finding ways to create a fun, happy, and exciting atmosphere for my family and friends.

When I was a cute little five-year old, with giant eyes that took up ¾ of my face, you’d often find me gathering my brothers and searching nearest microphone-looking prop to host game-shows in our living room.

Not much has changed since then, except now I have finally grown into my eyes. But, in all seriousness – why did I become a celebrant?

Well, aside from being super comfortable in front of a crowd (and actually enjoying it!), I really wanted to use my public speaking skills for something totally fun and different. I absolutely love meeting new people, hearing their stories, and finding creative ways to share them – so becoming a celebrant seemed like a no-brainer.

Despite all of this, deciding to try something wildly different to my 9-5 was absolutely terrifying and totally outside of my comfort-zone – but I couldn’t be more happy having finally taken the plunge!

WHERE || NGUNNAWAL AND NGAMBRI COUNTRY & BEYOND

I am based on Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country (Canberra), and am always happy to travel for love. Beach, mountains, cities with high-rise views, your grandparents coastal house... Fiji? you name it!

If you’d like pack me in your suitcase and take me a little further out, there’s just a few extra details we’ll have to iron out – but we’ll discuss this in our very first catch up so you know exactly what’s happening.

WHAT|| WEDDING CEREMONIES

We’re talking everything from elopements in your backyard with your two best friends to big kick-ass ceremonies that’ll leave you and your guests feeling all warm and fuzzy.

But before we get you to ‘I do’, I’ll also be there to guide you through all of the legal paperwork, bounce ideas on how to make your ceremony fun and engaging, help you find ways to include significant friends or family members in the ceremony, and give you resources to get those sweet vows flowing.

My prices and packages are based on the size and style of your ceremony, but I’m always up to chat about which ceremony would be the best fit for you. With me as your celebrant, you won’t be left guessing what you’re paying for – I’m clear, upfront, and honest. I’ll be there to make sure you have the best day ever!

WHO || Hey, I’m Haya! Knowing your celebrant and their values is incredibly important. Let’s be real, they’ll be standing near you on one of the most significant days of your lives! You wouldn’t want to discover on the morning of your ceremony that your celebrant only wears Crocs to weddings.

I am an authentic, fun-loving, sunset-chasing owner of half finished craft projects. I’m originally from Perth, and at risk of making this sound like a dating-app pitch, I genuinely do enjoy sitting, swimming, walking, and reading on the beach.

I am incredibly passionate about social justice, human rights, and gender equality. I’ve dedicated my career as a lawyer to protecting some of the most vulnerable members of our community and advocating for change. In my past life, you would have seen my fierce courtroom personality... but I’ve since hung up the robes to do a bit more behind-the-scenes advocacy.

As a former class-clown, I absolutely love to chat and have a laugh. So rest assured that your ceremony will be a nice balance of serious and cheeky.

Above all else, I just love love!
