From clocking up tens of millions of views on her videos across YouTube and TikTok to expanding and reinventing the boundaries of her instrument, theremin virtuoso is a global phenomenon.

In the hands of Carolina, who began as a child prodigy at the age of seven in Germany, the theremin becomes an instrument of classical majesty and contemporary brilliance. She joins Richard Tognetti and the Orchestra for an electrifying performance that will move between personal favourites, classical masterpieces and beloved stage and screen classics.

We invite you to join Qwire as we reinterpret Henry Purcell’s 1689 opera, Dido & Aeneas, exploring themes of Q***r love, loss and heartache with music that transcends generations.

Joined by four soloists and a chamber ensemble, led by the exceptional Ellery Quartet, Qwire will perform the opera in its entirety, returning to the stage after intermission offering a musical response to Dido & Aeneas with contemporary repertoire.
