๐ŸŒŸ Elevate Your Newlywed Experience with Coaching! ๐Ÿ’โค๏ธ
Premarital education, like Prepare/Enrich, has been a cornerstone for over 40 years, setting the foundation for a strong marriage. But what happens after the wedding, when real married life begins? ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ’•
When you face your first big conflicts or unforeseen issues, itโ€™s the perfect time for a check-inโ€”newlywed coaching! Every couple is unique, and the newlywed phase can vary from 2 to 5 years. One thing is certain: the early years of marriage can be challenging.

Hereโ€™s why newlywed coaching is a great idea:
1. No Wedding Distractions ๐ŸŽ‰ Premarital coaching often gets lost in the wedding planning chaos. With newlywed coaching, you can focus solely on strengthening your marriage without the big day looming over you.

2. Great for Those Who Missed Premarital Coaching ๐Ÿ’‘ Whether you eloped, married during COVID, or skipped premarital coaching, newlywed coaching can nip bad habits in the bud and help build foundational relationship skills.

3. Realities of Married Life ๐Ÿ  The honeymoon phase fades, and real-life issues emerge. Newlywed coaching helps you address conflicts and unmet expectations with a clear, experienced perspective.

4. Navigating Big Transitions ๐ŸŒ From buying a house to starting a family, transitions can strain a marriage. Newlywed coaching equips you with tools to navigate these changes smoothly.

5. Encouragement During Tough Times ๐ŸŒฆ๏ธ The first years of marriage can be tough, leading to doubts and discouragement. Coaching normalizes these struggles and reassures you that ups and downs are normal.

6. Setting a Precedent for Growth ๐ŸŒฑ Continuous effort is key to a resilient relationship. Newlywed coaching fosters a habit of growth and self-improvement, setting a strong precedent for the future.

So much preparation goes into the wedding, but it shouldn't end there! Think of premarital coaching as just the beginning. Newlywed coaching is the next logical step to keep your marriage strong and thriving.

Happy Monday everyone!

Tyronne Bell at Thunderstone Aboriginal Cultural Services is a Ngunawal descendant (pronounced Ngoonawal and traditionally spelt with only one 'n' rather than 2 'n's as we often see in the commonly used but misspelt word 'Ngunnawal').

Tyronne shares his cultural knowledge through workshops and guided walks where he interprets the landscape, highlighting natural resources used by Aboriginal people for food and bush medicine, and the residual evidence of Ngunawal culture.

Yesterday, I joined 16 other local Civil Marriage Celebrants at a workshop to learn (& receive permission to use in marriage ceremonies) the 'Acknowledgement of Country' in the language of the Ngunawal people. It was a fantastic workshop with much learning about the Ngunawal people and their language (& much love & laughter with peers).

A big thank you to Tyronne for setting us all straight on the correct pronunciation and use of the words of the Acknowledgement which we can now share with even more passion and purpose at ceremonies where our clients wish to have the Acknowledgement spoken in language!

I would highly recommend connecting with Tyronne if you'd like to learn more about the Ngunawal people and look forward to more learning with him ahead. Great to catch up with an amazing group of great celebrants too! Have a great week all!:)

Congratulations to the beautiful Belinda and her gorgeous husband Chris who married at the Hotel Kurrajong on a beautiful sunny day recently. Surrounded by their family and friends their ceremony was a lot of fun, relaxed and equally heartfelt with important traditions that the happy couple chose too. The pretty blooms chosen for the bouquets and bridesmaids gowns along with the dapper groomsmen all suited out made for great photos. My fondest regards to this fantastic couple and their daughter who was a very sweet junior bridesmaid able to walk the aisle and also sit to watch Mum and Dad marry. G:)

In certain cultures, notably South Asian and East Asian cultures, red is considered lucky and auspicious, Celebrations are always amazing and especially when I get to wear red in honour of a bride or groom's culture and to wish them luck. I loved celebrating the marriage of a lovely local chap B and his beautiful bride F, a well-travelled University Valedictorian who looked so beautiful in gold and white! I can't yet share photos of this very intimate event involving only very close family and friends, but here's me in red, instead.
I was feeling so upbeat after their marriage and especially as the couple and their guests were so very grateful for their unique ceremony, I decided to celebrate my role as a celebrant too. So, I laid out just some of the lovely thank you notes received from gorgeous clients I've worked with and I popped this year's wedding awards among them, enjoying a celebration of my own.
So grateful to be in this role and helping couples to create their important day in their way. ๐Ÿ˜Š

My groupie husband (Mick) and I are returning after a recent wedding in a very windy location. Still, we were so happy for the couple involved that we couldn't help but smile. Congratulations, P and T!!! Thanks Mick for helping to get me in and out of the venue without being blown away! Gx

Mother's Day was phenomenal, especially after starting the day with a marriage ceremony for a gorgeous couple from Bhutan in the intimacy of their own home. Both were pleased that I wore appropriate clothing for the ceremony, including my scarf with the 8 lucky symbols on it, and that the khaddar ritual was included in the ceremony. This traditional placement of white silk scarves as an offering of purity and compassion is always a gorgeous part of a short & sweet but very special ceremony here in Australia, pending a couple returning to Bhutan for a traditional (but non-legal) ceremony.

I can't show you photos of the beautiful and shy couple who married but this grainy photo shows me instead returning home to be welcomed by family (including 2 dogs - the one shown is Darla the Labraspoodle) . Thank you to my beautiful family for a lovely lunch and day in general and special thanks and congratulations to the gorgeous newlyweds, P & P!!!!!!xx

Let me be the first to wish you or the women in your life a very, Happy Mother's Day for tomorrow ladies, whether you are a mum, step-mum, carer, foster-mum, fur-mum or simply a nurturer of others as a maternal friend or extended family member.

If you are mourning the passing of a mum, tomorrow may also be a very difficult reminder of your loss, so I invite you to reach out in the coming days if you need to have your grief and loss witnessed and/or to honour and celebrate the mum you had in your life, even if it was for just a short time.

As a Mum and Nana, I am filled with gratitude for my own family, and that includes my mum and mother-in-law and I wish both good health, happiness and prosperity ahead. Mick and I wanted to post this message early so we can be with my mum tomorrow and cherish the making of more memories then too with one son too.

We are do very grateful that the other will be moving back to live closer to us in just a few month's time, bringing two of our 3 grandsons with them, so we have much to celebrate this year. That is the best news and gift a mum could ask for!!!:)
