Street Chess is a weekly chess event held in the centre of Canberra. Join us under the trees outside King O'Malley's in City Walk.

Street Chess is held every Saturday from 11am to 3pm.

31 players for the last event of summer. Litchfield was relatively untroubled in reaching his perfect score.

Thomas Gatzen-O'Keefe has scored his 4th win in 5 weeks, finishing top of the 29 player field. We were also entertained by some Morris Dancers during rounds 5 and 6!

23 players played today’s Street Chess which is a little lower than normal for this time of year. The event did have some newcomers and every player managed at least one win.

Street Chess Berlin style. If you are ever visiting Berlin, check out Stranger Chess. They are a street chess gathering that meets 7 nights a week from 7pm. I paid a visit this evening and had a couple of fun and challenging games of chess. Non competitive but they do use chess clocks.
