One of our absolute favourite events year after year is just around the corner – the Mother's Day Classic! And we couldn't be more excited to kick off the festivities for 2024! 🌟

This event holds a special place in our hearts, thanks to the incredible volunteers, participants, and vendors who make it all possible. We cherish the opportunity to work alongside and support our local attendees, witnessing firsthand the energy, passion, and vibrant spirit they bring to the event.

From the sea of pink shirts to the laughter and camaraderie shared among friends and families, the Mother’s Day Classic - Canberra is a celebration of love, strength, and solidarity. It's a day filled with colour, fun, and most importantly, a sense of community that uplifts each other.

As we gear up for another unforgettable Mother's Day Classic, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to making this event a success year after year.

The Mother's Day Classic isn't just a fun run; it's a powerful movement dedicated to raising funds for breast and ovarian cancer research. And the support from the Canberra community is truly heartwarming year after year.

From families running together in honour of loved ones to friends joining forces to make a difference, the spirit of solidarity and determination was palpable throughout the event.

Damsel and Sprout are the lead event producers for the Canberra leg of the national Mother's Day Classic, overseeing every aspect from logistics to site & brand activations.

We collaborated closely with the MDC committee to ensure a seamless and impactful event.

Former Australian of the Year, Dylan Alcott AO joined our stage as as the keynote speaker at the ACT Chief Minister's Inclusion Awards. The awards celebrate achievements in the disability space in business, individuals, and the community.

As part of our event production and delivery of this event, Damsel and Sprout facilitated all speaker and MC engagement and management.

Each year we have the pleasure of working alongside their dynamic committee to consult on the development of their event in Hall, ACT. We also lead their digital and marketing campaigns in the lead-up to and post-event.

The National Sheepdog Trials have a special place in our hearts as a truly unique and quintessentially Australian event, fortunate to grace Canberra each year. It's a celebration of our rich history of working dogs while offering an enjoyable and engaging experience for families and visitors from across the country.

In 2021, with COVID on our doorstep, Damsel and Sprout reimagined the Chief Minister's Inclusion Awards to ensure a safer way of celebrating those in the disability community. Our team, alongside Missing Bits Productions produced Stories of Inclusion - a series of content videos highlighting great examples of progress made towards better inclusion in our community.

Over a 3 month period, Damsel and Sprout worked closely with the Office of Disability and the disability community to produce content aimed to celebrate the good and positive stories which have emerged since the beginning of the COVID-19 Health Emergency. 💫

This year, Damsel and Sprout were engaged to assist the Telstra conferencing team to deliver an event experience for their upcoming end-of-conference celebration.

On entry, guests were intrigued by our living statues, delighted by our caricature artist, wowed by Magic Mike (the magician, not the stripper), and blown away by the 3D camera complete with custom-designed features that turned guests into drawings of themselves on the way past.

In March 2022, ACT Government personnel and volunteers were recognised for their dedicated efforts through the 2019-20 bushfire and storm season, a season many of us will never forget.

Unpredictable weather, record-breaking fire conditions, continual smoke haze, heatwaves, and a hailstorm saw challenges that have not been faced since the 2003 Canberra bushfires.

As a result of these severe events, numerous personnel from ACT Government agencies came together to help protect Canberrans and neighbouring areas that were impacted.

And for that, Canberra says thank you.

More than 900 recipients across the ACT Government and volunteer support services were awarded the National Emergency Medal & ACT Emergency Medal for their heroic contribution in response to the January 2020 bushfires and storms.

Damsel and Sprout were responsible for all production, logistics, technical advice, content creation and delivery of the National & ACT Emergency Medal Ceremony.

This year, Damsel and Sprout were engaged to advise the board of the National Sheepdog Association on event management, logistics and media & marketing strategy to increase their attendance and coverage of the Sheep Dog Trials.

Sheep Dog Trials are a unique, inclusive, heritage sport where three species—sheep, dog and person—endeavour to work together to complete a course of three obstacles in fifteen minutes.

In our development of their 2022 strategy, we focused on their raising their social profile and their spectator growth with this year seeing record results!

Every year, thousands of Australians come together on Mother’s Day to get active for breast cancer research!🎗️

This year, we joined the team to celebrate 25 years of the Mothers Day Classic on a beautiful day, around Lake Burley Griffin.

This year, in our work as event consultants with the National Sheepdog Trial Championships, we developed a cross-promotion for the Trials with the Brumbies.
