This week we are speaking with one of our favourite artists, a powerful singer and songwriter, Liz Stringer. is coming to town on Sunday November 23 to play at the Theatre Royal as part of the To Survive Tour.
Liz tells us all about some of our favourite songs and all about the tour which is helping to raise awareness about the housing crisis we face here in Mt Alexander but also around the country. Liz is partnering with different community organizations around the country and here in Castlemaine she is supporting Dhelkaya Health, raising much needed funds and awareness about the My Home Network which aims for people in the shire to have access to safe, secure, affordable and sustainable housing. So good to speak with Liz and we look forward to sharing it with you!
Following Liz’s lead we have built a show around artists who have leant their voices to support causes around the world. Should be a fun one!

We are endlessly fascinated by the way music can connect people across time and space. This week we are digging into a label that brings people together from across the globe under the umbrella of Music in Exile.
We will be joined by one of the shining lights from their stable of artists, Boubacar Gaye from amazing 9 piece band outta Naarm via Senegal 🇸🇳, Cuba 🇨🇺, Mali 🇲🇱, Guinea 🇬🇳, and Gambia 🇬🇲. Collectively they are Ausecuma Beats and they will be on stage at the Theatre Royal making you sweat on Saturday night as part of Spring Fling.
We will also be spinning tracks from other Music in Exile artists like old fave Gordon Koang, Ajak Kwai, Elsy Wameyo, Mindy Meng Wang and Music Yared.
