What’s Golden is proud to be supporting Upstander 2025! Upstander will be held at Lot 19 on Saturday Feb 8 from 4-9. The event will see loads of great musicians and DJs performing as part of this fundraiser for a women’s refuge in our area, Annie North. Upstander supports the freedom, safety and celebration of Women and aims to increase awareness of what refuges do, and promote men’s behaviour change programs in the area.

10/10 for olfactory class, Castlemaine and .chip crowd! Ozonic and applied with mature measure so as not to dominate. Best smelling crowd I can recall, in fact.

It's true. It was so true in fact that I noticed it! The quarter of the room I was in (SW crew shout out) came in smelling collectively fresh, ozonic and of mild and tempered frangrance application. There WAS fragrance, but it had been applied with mature measure. No one application sought to dominate. Rather, the whole combined to form something so olfactorily non-offensive that I stopped to think about it and log it as worthy of comment. People, take a leaf put of this book, go subtle on your smells. Go pardolote, not peacock.

Also, .chip inspired a supreme gathering! Pulled a sweet crowd and delivered a memorable night of smiles and moments. Looking around, I kept thinking, 'people are so cool'. Moves, love, colours, energy, swagger and coolness of the coolest kind.

Time to tie a bow on the beast that was 2024! In our final What’s Golden for the year we will look back on a great year and play our favourite tracks from around the world.

We will be going to air from 4-6 this week as our neighbours Get Outta Town take a break and the Carols are being broadcast live from the van in Victory park from 6-8.
