MAGGIE CLARE
Shapeshifter par excellence, Maggie dances the borders between worlds, spooling out stories till they break and roll back to the beginning. Along the way, she might try on the guise of poet, carnie, clown, wisewoman... It all depends on which way the wind blows, and your luck.

PATCH PHEASANT
Spacious cello tunes and song straight from the heart - Patch has been making musical-ish sounds for as long as anyone can remember. He draws inspiration from folk traditions, enjoying time travelling through old tunes and bringing them to life.
Curious about what all this might mean? So is he...Suggestions welcome.

DERRY DOYLE
Derry Doyle is the fly on the wall that rummages for romance in the mundane and spins yarns with a fiercely Australian tongue. He swears like a saint, is sensitive as a sailor, and never lets the truth get in the way of a good story.

Calling all artists – Last chance to express your interest in an exciting public art opportunity 🎨🖌️

In partnership with Castlemaine Art Museum and Buda Castlemaine, we're commissioning a work of public art that tells the story of the seven women who founded Castlemaine Art Museum.

We are inviting artists to consider unexpected and original responses to this story, focusing on adventurous, exploratory and innovative approaches to a contemporary art installation.

There is rich archival and visual material for artists to respond to, and we encourage experimental and non-traditional approaches to the subject matter.

All you have to do for stage one is answers four questions and submit your resume. No concept is required at this stage.

Lot19’s 21st birthday celebrations start today! There are so many people to thank but first up… a shout out to the remarkable Mark Anstey. Mark’s passion, vision and drive has created the gem that is lot19. Our celebrations kick off this afternoon with the opening of the 21 on 19: Group Exhibition (Opening Celebration) at 5.30pm. The exhibition features 21 artists (maybe more) who have been instrumental in Lot19 over the past two decades. Then we have the lot19 Open Day: Sunday 17 Nov on Sunday. Studio visits, coffee, food, bar, workshops, sunshine and happiness! And we are finishing up with MEAL OF FORTUNE - a lot19 lunch experience on Sunday Dec 1st. ***DO NOT MISS THIS!**

The property also consists of 21 artists studios, two outdoor stages, a contemporary art gallery, and an outdoor sculpture park. We currently accommodate 28 artists in our 21 artists’ studio spaces, including Castlemaine Press, a community access print-making studio, and Castlemaine Clay, a community ceramics facility.
