Wednesday 18.12.24: Pat Casey won the best 'Touch of Christmas' outfit as well as the day with 36 points c/b Glenys Pierce 36. They were followed in the Greg Cooley Wines sponsored round by Bev Sanders 35 c/b Kerryn Mugge 35, Gloria Maynard 33 and, all on 32 points, Jenny Vine, Heather Grace and Alex Nicholls. Playing 9 holes were Denby Wandel 17, Anna Hawker 16 and Robyn Howard 15. Bev Sanders won the Bentleys NTP #7, Janet Zweck the Just Julies Longest Putt #9, Heather Grace the MGA Second Shot #12 and Pat Casey the Clare Plant Nursery NTP #14.

The popular Ham & Turkey was held on Saturday with 60 players looking to take home a leg of ham thanks to the generous sponsorship of IKC Industries and Woolworths.

The double smoked ham went to Anne Morphett & Donna Scotson with a very good score of 87 points, in second with 85 was Adam Moller & Michael Bray their golf only bettered by their commitment to matching uniforms. Coming home in 3rd on 81 Tim Jenkins 7 Zach Fielding, considering the handicap they play off to record 81 points is exceptional golf, well played.
Thanks to IKC Industries and Woolworths every player still in attendance won a prize, those not, missed out in accordance with the rules of engagement.

In the individual comp it was Michael Bray his 1 under par 71 gave him 41 points, nice golf Michael. Second on 39 points was Simon Byles and 3rd Trent Brown 38 on countback from Paul Dohnt, Zach Fielding and Tristan Martin.

Wednesday 11.12.24: Prior to attending our Christmas lunch we hit off early to allow time to freshen up. Julia Main won with 38 points c/b Deirdre Huppatz 38 in the Clare Valley Meats sponsored day. Next was Donna Scotson 37, Heather Grace 35 and then 32 was a very popular score by Janet Zweck, Sue Denton, Gloria Maynard and Jenny Mortimer. A 9 hole competition was won by Julie Budarick 17 c/b Anne Fuller 17 and Robyn Howard 14. Robyn won the Bentleys NTP #7, Deirdre the Just Julies Longest Putt #9, Julia the MGA Second Shot #12 and Bev Sanders the Clare Plant Nursery NTP #14.

On yet another magnificent summers day, 48 golfers turned out for our regular Thursday comp, with young Sam Rametta once again scoring well to take home another voucher from Intersport Clare Valley, just ahead of visitor Sam Clarke , both on 39 points.

Peter Skeers and Art Yandell snared prizes from Greg Cooley Wines, Clare Valley and Taylors Wines for their 38 points and Chris Clarke’s 37 won him a Clare Car Wash voucher.

Glenn Hayes and Jenny Mortimer also had 37, Wayne Zechner, Buzzy Victor and Mark Howard had 36 while Nev Johnson, Jarred Steele and Jim Main all had 35,s. Tom Dickinson, Mitch Butler, Ken Lloyd, Steve Marcus and Anthony Rametta all scored 34 points and Chris Klinger, Adam Moller , Jeff Hogben, Jason Dawes and Rob Tregilgas had 33’s.

NTP,s went to Nev Johnson, Jarred Steele, Mitch Butler and Tim Moller.

Following the presentation, the winner of the Fred Lewis Winter trophy was awarded to Les Yeats and the Phil and Pat Flood trophy for the best stableford score for the year April to Sept went to Daniel Wilson for his 44 points.

The IKC Industries and Woolworths Ham & Turkey day is on tomorrow, it's always a great day with plenty of prizes to be won.
Who will win a leg of ham? Who will win a frozen turkey?

In the 3rd club championship qualifying stroke round Julianne Smith won with net 73 from Deirdre Huppatz 74, Alex Nicholls 75 c/b Glenys Pierce 75 and Sharyn Roberts 78 c/b Jenny Mortimer 78. In Stableford it was Janet Zweck 32, Kerryn Mugge 30, Hayley Sommerville 27 c/b Donna Scotson 27 c/b Pat Casey 27 and Deb McCarthy 26. Andrea Rowe won the Bentleys NTP #7, Heather Grace the Just Julies Longest Putt #9, Julianne Smith the MGA Second Shot #12 and Deb McCarthy the Zest NTP #14.

Wednesday 27.11.24: It was hard going in the wind but Jenny Mortimer prevailed with 34 points c/b Glenys Pierce 34 in the Clare Plant Nursery and Outdoor Centre sponsored round.
Di Fargher was next with 31 c/b Kim Eime 31, Gloria Maynard 30 c/b Alex Nicholls 30 and Julia Main 28 c/b Jenny Vine 28.

Thanks to Delta Agribusiness SA formerly Cox Rural for there support of Saturday's stableford round which was enjoyed to varying degrees by 45 players. Most dodged the rain but got the warm humid conditions.

Best on the day was Sam Rametta with 42, well played Sam, followed by Troy Thiele 38 on countback from Matt Butler.
