With a forecast of 38° that enacted the clubs heat policy 53 players teed off prior to 10:30 in the Eldredge Wines stableford and the scores suggest some handled the hot and windy conditions better than others.

Mid vintage golf agreed with Tom Barry who with brother Sam having started at 6:30 am lodged the 1st card of the day with 41 points and it was never beaten. A clean front 9 followed by 2 birdies and the solo blemish on #14 for a 71 off the stick. Great golf Tom, best of luck to you and the crew at Jim Barry Wines, and all of our sponsor wineries for the 2025 vintage.

Brady Gray found his way back for a game which was great to see, he might be back next week after his 40 points, good enough to beat Andy Coulter on a countback.
Enjoy the wine from Eldredge Wines.

A slew of 38's for Daniel Hombsch, Ben Johnson, Sam Barry and Anthony Rametta. Well played.

If you haven't caught up with the latest in the January newsletter we have an excited grounds team.
Team, because in the last few weeks we have welcomed Leon Peacock and Michael Dopson onboard, head grounds person Sam Stevens has been getting them up to speed and is happy to have somebody other than the kangaroos and birds to talk to.

The other reason their excited is we've taken delivery of two key bits of gear that will help the guys prepare the course to the best possible condition.

The 1st is a new greens roller, thanks to Golf Car Solutions a TruTurf R52ELT electric roller, this replaces a very old unit making for a quicker and more effective rolling process.

Today a bright shiny Baroness LM331 surrounds mower with verticutting units rolled off the truck from Kubpower and the guys were super impressed with the first cut on 10/12 & 1 tee blocks.

The investment in these machines wouldn't be possible without the work of past & present committee members, volunteers, members and visitors who all contribute to a sustainable future for the club.
