The funniest email we've sent this week: "The frogs are ready!"
Words we never envisioned sending to anyone 😆 but the frogs really are ready! But no... they aren't cute little green tree frogs. They're a set of road side safety signs that have just finished being printed and about to be picked up for installation soon.
This has been a special project for the P&C of a local primary school, to design child and driver friendly signs about speed, safety and behaviour in the school drop off zone.
There were complex stages of the project along the way, making this an eight month long project. And we can't wait to see the signs installed and showing the way forward safely for our local kids.

After 8 years contributing to Google our stats rank in the millions of views. But what does that mean and how can Google Contributions help your business?

It's so lovely to be nominated by others for Awards, and this year Kirsty has been personally nominated by multiple connections into the 2025 AusMumpreneur Awards.
She gets our Social Ocean vote, that's for sure, and we can't wait to see how she progresses in this year's National Awards program.

One of our favourite places in all of Redcliffe is The Belvedere at Woody Point. So we don't think it would surprise anyone that we love to have our photos taken there and have done so several times over our last 9 years in business.
This year, we're collaborating with Candice from Candice Epthorp Photography to bring others together to choose from a variety of locations around the venue to have new professional photography taken too.
Us - Kirsty and Kylie - together with Candice have spent time with the team at The Bel to select 10 amazing and varied locations suited to a variety of moods and backgrounds to make your fresh imagery come to life, with a new vibe.
We're calling this day: Visual Vibe Shoot.

Earlier in the year, Kirsty had the greatest pleasure in visiting Queensland's Parliament House as a guest of Local Member for Redcliffe, Kerri-Anne Dooley.
Kindly, Kerri-Anne has invited members from The Ocean Network for a breakfast and tour of Parliament House on Tuesday 24th June (instead of our normal scheduled event at The Belvedere).

As is tradition, the next Ladies Who Long Lunch event launches the same day as the previous one is held. That means the next afternoon outing is ready for booking.
Great news for our Moreton Bay pals, the September event will return to Redcliffe - this time at the Redcliffe Leagues Club.

Founders Kirsty and Leanne will welcome business owners to the Ocean Network for networking, business building and wonderful education for all sorts of areas within your business.
Special guest speaker Rita-Marie Lenton from will be presenting "Connection is Everything".
Rita-Marie will be discussing:
- How to think about person-to-person contacts and how they maintain them,
- Explaining why it's important to connect on a personal level,
- And why it's been so important in how's she's built her own business.
If you're a first time visitor, you'll find us in the outdoor garden restaurant. Entry is via the main front gate off Oxley Avenue, past the bar, through the doors near the Pizza Oven.
Plus, if you're a business owner, and haven't joined the Ocean Network yet, you can do so at the dedicated Facebook group where all news, events and members things are shared.
Note: the back gate isn't always open from the rear car park as the team open early for us on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday's of the month. Arrival is close to 7:30am, as The Bel opens early just for us, please don't arrive at 7:00am and expect to enter the venue.
