We thought it high time we gave a shout out to the newest member of our winemaking team - Senior Winemaker, Tim Dexter.
Growing up surrounded by vines on the Mornington Peninsula inevitably led to gainful employment in the vineyard at an early age for Tim. University enrollment in Environmental Science followed, further instilling a deep passion for the land.
After graduating, Tim embarked on a globetrotting adventure, working in renowned wine regions such as the Napa Valley, Margaret River, and Oregon. Having officially caught the "wine bug", Tim enrolled in postgraduate studies in Viticulture and Oenology at the University of Adelaide. Armed with formal qualifications, he continued to broaden his horizons with vintage work in Burgundy and the Adelaide Hills before calling the Yarra Valley home.
Tim's exceptionally good taste has also seen him graduate from the AWRI's Advanced Wine Assesment Course and judge at regional and capital wine shows.

Our traditional method blanc de blancs is made with 100% chardonnay fruit, fermented in bottle and aged on lees for 52 months before disgorging with minimal dosage for that dry, textured deliciousness. Vintage 2016 was a warm, dry, early season with ideal flowering conditions. The result? An excellent sparkling with strong varietal flavours.
