BIG LOVE

Oh my days, we need to talk about Nat and Paul, super mega gorgeous couple - literally the kind that makes your heart go all goey.

*waves crash in the background*

Nat pulled off some seriously sneaky (awesome!) behind the scenes organising when she secretly got some of their closest people to attend their perfect elopement, gathering them in the days before so they just kept popping up around Noosa and surprising Paul. What a gem! It was so much fun, the way the just ooze love and togetherness, the gathering we shared at Laguna Grove just radiated happy vibes.

Every detail was delicious. (Seriously, if you want to hand over the organising of a micro wedding to someone who slays, Alix has got you seriously covered. I implore you to get in touch!)

Family and friends, write your love hearts in the sand and raise those glasses for Mr and Mrs Maley!

THE COWBOY HAT

About two years ago, Tam and her friend Roxy set their sights on hitting the drinks at the classiest joint in town, the local Torquay pub, a popular spot I am told where people from all walks of life go to get glassed or to start fights.
The girls of course however, were not the fighting types, but instead hit the beverages with a the enthusiasm of a wedding guest at an open bar but of course all good things must come to an end, and at 2am, the mighty powers of liquor licensing were unleashed and time at the bar was called, the doors to the pub were closed and all patrons were turfed out onto the street in all of their intoxicated glory.

Cue this good looking rooster with footy shorts and a cowboy hat, coming over to talk to the girls with a big beaming smile on his face. Tam’s first impressions of Matt was that he was totally gorgeous, not only this but chivalrous as well as he offered to give the girls a ride to get them home safely. Regardless, Matt was keen as. She was bubbly, soooo beautiful and with a warm smile, and was like a ray of sunshine in the wee small hours of an otherwise shady street, they swapped details and the rest as they say...

NARRATING VS STORYTELLING

Team Talk Folks, let’s have a yarn about two closely related words. One is more of a plain Jane kinda gal and the other is giving Lady GaGa; rich in adjectives, and painting an image and setting a scene in your mind as the words unravel.

Allow me explain the difference between narrating and storytelling so we are on the same page:

Narrating: “He looked around the room when he first saw her”

Storytelling: “With a drink in his hand and a twinkle in his eye, Chris scanned the crowded bar and as he took in the sounds of the live music and atmosphere of the people nodding their heads in time to the beat, he was suddenly drawn to the most beautiful woman in the room who was sitting at a table looking incredibly bored at a conversation she clearly didn’t want to be involved in”

Big difference hey?

Each and every story is so fantastically different and I just LOVE getting stuck into the creative writing side of things, sharing this with your crowd of people who may know the *gist* of what happened when you first met, but never heard the tale brought to life in quite the way they’ll hear it on your wedding day.

The tone, the delivery, the power of a pause…. the timing of dropping a line which has folks laughing in one moment, then switching up the vibe to feel the love and the gravity of what marriage is all about and the true depths of your love- all with absolute sincerity and professionalism.

It’s an incredibly humbling business this Celebrant game, and a true honour to be privvy to the intricacies of relationship when I read over those Love Question responses.

NOOSA DAHHHLING

Ok so let’s be real, Noosa is well known to be pretty boujee with its upmarket shops, high-end restaurants and the well heeled crowd it draws all year round, but you know what?
It’s seriously beautiful.
And, if you are wanting a small ceremony then this has got to be my go-to spot in Noosa.

Think: Crashing waves on the rocks below, crowds far far away, a secluded little love-bubble high up on a deck with views that just ooze Mother Nature’s utter gaaawgeousness.
*Insert the divine voice over for that last paragraph for extra sumptuous love-feels*

Doing The Carter’s ceremony was just incredible, and this photo has gotta be one of my all time favourite action shots of me celebrant-ing.
I tip my hat to you Jodie 📷😍

It truly is the biggest honour to be a part of the Elopements Noosa team.
So, Wedsters, reach out to Alix if you are thinking this set up and spot loooks like your jam.

“Some ten years ago, Madi and Matt headed out with their respective friends to the infamous Brewery on Annangrove Road for drinks and laughter and to let off some steam of a Thursday evening.  Matt in particular, was getting stuck into the drinks, as soon as one was consumed a replacement swiftly found its way into the strong grip of his hand, and he was living his best Matthew life.  As the night went on however, he spotted a beautiful girl across the room, she had the biggest, most gorgeous smile and he knew he just had to go and strike up a conversation.  The liquid courage was working its magic and so he approached her and the two began to talk as their friend groups joined as one.

As Madi smiled that beautiful smile back at Matt, she thought to herself how confident and social he was, he had this nature about him that made people feel at ease and he was witty and quick in his humour.  The light eyes, blonde hair and tall and built combination definitely worked in his favour too.
As Matt chatted away with Madi, he was totally hooked on her- she was stunning with the most bubbly personality- her banter game was strong, and most of all she was being really nice to him when he openly admits upon reflection he was probably being tipsy and annoying!
..Without question, they knew they had found someone very special…  love cascaded into their lives, only a month later those three magic words were shared and they have held hands in love, as best friends and as partners ever since.”ayaspellizzon

LOVE LETTERS

“Katie, when you read this, know that you made us the happiest people in the world. Sana and I feel incredibly lucky to have found someone like you who took the time to truly get to know us. You’ve become a permanent part of our lives, and we can’t thank you enough.

Words fall short of capturing how special you made our day. The beautiful story you wove about us meant so much. The printed vows looked stunning, and your meticulous handling of all the ceremony logistics was just amazing. But the best part of your gift to us were the little moments you gave us between each segment. Those moments are the ones we’ll remember forever.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your constant communication over the past few months leading up to the event. You made us feel genuinely cared for. Please, keep doing exactly what you’re doing. Your celebrant happy energy, professionalism, and love mean the world to us and will undoubtedly do the same for all your future wedding clients.

Lots of love,

Jack and Sana McKevitt”

I teared up when I read this, thank you a million times over Mr and Mrs McKevitt.

THE FUTURE

It’s pretty amazing being involved in the next big chapter in peoples lives, setting the bar high as people take that extra leap into love and become a married couple.

Chloe and Kharn are that kind of couple who give you the feel-good vibes, who simply radiate good energy. This picture just makes your heart go to mush doesn’t it?!

I loved their day, it was the perfect celebration of love, romance, of sentimental moments, of the sun shining and of two people promising forever.

Forever awesome, please charge your glasses for Mr & Mrs Oats!

ENGLISH BANTER

When Lisa and Joe and I first connected it was like (celebrant) love at first sight. Or was that love at first words? Yep, they got me right in the feels when their glorious northern UK accents lit up our video call like a New Year’s Eve fireworks display.

These two Wedsters decided Bury, Manchester was no longer cutting the mustard and so flew out to Australia to start their lives again, and let’s just say they are an absolute force to be reckoned with.

The banter.
The joy.
The sweet sound of northern accents gracing the beaches of Noosa.

An elopement which was love in its purest form, the crowd, the top tier styling, blooms to make you go “wowsers” and the way Lisa looked in her gown… and the way Joe looked at her with nothing but the deepest adoration.
*fans face*

It was my first wedding of the year and it kicked off 2025 with champagne corks popping, waves crashing and people making memories to last a lifetime together. I could not be more honoured to have been the person who made their love official.

Family and friends, will you please raise your glasses and toast to Mr & Mrs Warren 🥂🧡

OH HEY WEDSTERS!

Just popping into your socials to say welcome to the second month of 2025, the month where everyone is poised and ready for the year ahead after all the festive and Australia Day shenanigans, the one where we celebrate Annual Love Day (Valentines Day!), and a big yiiiiew to all the recently engaged couples!

If you are setting sail in planning your wedding and locking in your key vendors, then strike while the iron is hot and let’s connect about that seriously fun part of your wedding day- the ceremony!

I’d love to talk things over and answer all of the questions- and you’ll find me at this Saturday from 10am-3pm as they hold a very special expo, showcasing some of the Sunny Coast’s finest industry folks.

Hope you can make it!

But of course, a massive cheers to the legends in this pic who said I Do last year in a romance filled day of beach frolics 🤍
