NOOSA DAHHHLING

Ok so let’s be real, Noosa is well known to be pretty boujee with its upmarket shops, high-end restaurants and the well heeled crowd it draws all year round, but you know what?
It’s seriously beautiful.
And, if you are wanting a small ceremony then this has got to be my go-to spot in Noosa.

Think: Crashing waves on the rocks below, crowds far far away, a secluded little love-bubble high up on a deck with views that just ooze Mother Nature’s utter gaaawgeousness.
*Insert the divine voice over for that last paragraph for extra sumptuous love-feels*

Doing The Carter’s ceremony was just incredible, and this photo has gotta be one of my all time favourite action shots of me celebrant-ing.

“Some ten years ago, Madi and Matt headed out with their respective friends to the infamous Brewery on Annangrove Road for drinks and laughter and to let off some steam of a Thursday evening. Matt in particular, was getting stuck into the drinks, as soon as one was consumed a replacement swiftly found its way into the strong grip of his hand, and he was living his best Matthew life. As the night went on however, he spotted a beautiful girl across the room, she had the biggest, most gorgeous smile and he knew he just had to go and strike up a conversation. The liquid courage was working its magic and so he approached her and the two began to talk as their friend groups joined as one.

As Madi smiled that beautiful smile back at Matt, she thought to herself how confident and social he was, he had this nature about him that made people feel at ease and he was witty and quick in his humour. The light eyes, blonde hair and tall and built combination definitely worked in his favour too.
As Matt chatted away with Madi, he was totally hooked on her- she was stunning with the most bubbly personality- her banter game was strong, and most of all she was being really nice to him when he openly admits upon reflection he was probably being tipsy and annoying!

It’s pretty amazing being involved in the next big chapter in peoples lives, setting the bar high as people take that extra leap into love and become a married couple.

ENGLISH BANTER

When Lisa and Joe and I first connected it was like (celebrant) love at first sight. Or was that love at first words? Yep, they got me right in the feels when their glorious northern UK accents lit up our video call like a New Year’s Eve fireworks display.

These two Wedsters decided Bury, Manchester was no longer cutting the mustard and so flew out to Australia to start their lives again, and let’s just say they are an absolute force to be reckoned with.

The banter.
The joy.
The sweet sound of northern accents gracing the beaches of Noosa.

An elopement which was love in its purest form, the crowd, the top tier styling, blooms to make you go “wowsers” and the way Lisa looked in her gown… and the way Joe looked at her with nothing but the deepest adoration.

It was my first wedding of the year and it kicked off 2025 with champagne corks popping, waves crashing and people making memories to last a lifetime together. I could not be more honoured to have been the person who made their love official.

Just popping into your socials to say welcome to the second month of 2025, the month where everyone is poised and ready for the year ahead after all the festive and Australia Day shenanigans, the one where we celebrate Annual Love Day (Valentines Day!), and a big yiiiiew to all the recently engaged couples!

‘Tis the season to be engaged and to start planning a glorious wedding to celebrate the fact that:

Top tip- once you have decided on a date, lock in your vendors! There such a thing called “hot dates” in the wedding year- these are dates that book out FAST as they are usually in peak wedding season OR tag onto a long weekend. It makes it a lot harder to secure your dream team if you don’t plan ahead...

Sometimes we can fall prey to leaving things to the last minute, but it’s as simple as sliding on into my DM’s and we will get the ball rolling from there. Simples!

LOVE POTIONS

“The day started in many ways like any other, Sana got up and got ready for work and made her way to Ramsay Pharmacy Whites Hill and no doubt had another busy day ahead of her preparing medicine and working hard for her patients in the dispensary. She was passionate about their wellbeing, and took the role very seriously and just knew that this was the direction she wanted to take her life.
On this same day, Jack had been invited for an interview at the same pharmacy as an intern, he was still a student and arrived hopeful at the prospects of where this exciting career in medicine would take him. Amidst a sea of science, two people were about to be brought together…

Perhaps it was the fluorescent lighting, or the feel good vibes of the healing medicine, but family and friends there was chemistry in the air and it was not the pharmaceutical kind, no no, Sana had caught Jack’s eye the moment he first laid eyes on her and thought she was just… beautiful. There she was, a vision in her pharmacy uniform AKA the Ben Casey, oozing intelligence, and his jaw hit the floor quicker than he could say “wowzer”.

Lo and behold, that same chemistry had Sana all giddy too, as she overheard him saying he was here for an interview with that faux British accent, she went all wibbly and hid out the back, blushing as her colleague saw exactly what was going on an proceeded to tease her that Sana had a crush.”

Yep, you guessed it, it was the beginning of their forevers. I have the biggest soft spot for these two. Raise your glasses for the McKevitt’s.

Hands down my favourite thing in the whole wide world: LOVE.

All of it, the way it makes people feel, how it brings people together, and how it shows up in every day life for people the world over.

The togetherness of love in relationship, the big things people do, the little nuggets of affection, the lingering kisses, the thoughtfully bought favourite chocolate bars when you fill up at the servo, the secret code text messages that only you and your loved one know…

The silliness, the intimacy, the warmth in your tummy, the “hurry home babe” notification on your phone when you’re in your final hours of the workday, secretly checking your partner out as they do everyday tasks…

The romance, oh the romance. Folded up love notes, writing on steamed up bathroom mirrors, cheeky butt squeezes as you make dinner in the kitchen.

Rocking out to your favourite jam, making forever plans, curating a home together, building your lives in partnership, making family memories.

Planning an utterly kick ass wedding.
Celebrating the fact you *truly* found your person.

THE EXTRAORDINARY LOVE

“Some four years ago, Phoebe and Dwayne were on respective nights out and met one another in the line outside Old Soul, poised and ready for a night of drinking and good times, but alas Cupid decided this wasn’t quite the right timing for them to really connect.
No no, a week later the magical love-powers of Tinder were hard at work and when Phoebe and Dwayne were an instant match, Dwayne couldn’t help but wonder how he knew this stunning girl? She was so familiar….
Dwayne knew he had to act fast and woo this beautiful woman so she didn’t slip through his fingers like sand, and whipped out one of his smoothest pick up lines he could think of and went for gold with this, “Matching with you is like ordering 6 chicken nuggets and receiving 7”.
Despite Phoebe being a vegetarian at the time, she must have appreciated this incredibly romantic bite-size poultry analogy and so began the messaging. The long and short of it is that eventually, the two teed up a date after laying down the law to one another that neither of them were looking for anything too serious.
The plan, everyone, was to meet go for a quick walk of 30 minutes, Phoebe was so nervous she tried getting out of the car before turning off the engine… but those initial nerves gave way really quickly as that 30 minutes turned into an hour and a half as Dwayne must have fired 150 questions and managed to condense his entire life story into that time, basically explaining what Phoebe would be getting herself into if this was to go any further.
They were both hooked, the conversations flowed easily effortlessly and they mutually felt the green flags- Dwayne since looks back on this knowing it was a moment of love at first sight”

THEY FOUND LOVE

“For Kharn, he remembers the day he first laid eyes on Chloe being the Gympie horse races when he was out with his friends and whilst he was there, decided to catch up with his mum and Brinlee.

There was Chloe, in a white summer dress with glowing auburn hair and those beautiful blue eyes and the cutest little smile he had ever seen. He was joking around with his mum and sister and he couldn’t help but notice that Chloe was laughing a little louder every time he made a joke- and he was pretty sure he wasn’t being that much of a comedian…
Anyway, that day came and went and it wasn’t until some months later that with a few brief meetings in passing along the way that Chloe and Kharn finally connected when Brinlee, Chloe and a few other friends all stayed at Kharn’s on the Sunny Coast to hit up a festival.

Afterwards, Chloe and Kharn started to text and they talked everyday. Though Chloe was about to head off to Europe for a month, it didn’t stop the connection that they felt, because as soon as she returned they just couldn’t stay apart any longer. They were drawn to one another, they were intrigued, and well, to put it simply, it just felt right. There was something really special there and both of them felt it in their hearts that this was not something to let go of.

It is hard to pinpoint an exact time when they truly fell in love, as love came so naturally, so easily, it was meant to be from the very beginning. Their lives just started to flow together, and perhaps the sweetest way to put it, is that by simply being with the other person, they felt - and they feel- like they were “home”.”

PINCOTT LOVE

I love watching on as my couples live their lives post wedding day, the joys of instagram being a visual diary of how my gorgeous Wedsters’ journey unfolds as a married couple.

Clarissa and Sam are just freaking amazing. A match made from high up in the stars. We message just recently and Clarissa summed up Pincott life pretty well, “So much has changed in the last two years… and our relationship is still the same pure, simple love”.

GET YOUR SMOOCH ON Okay, folks, let’s talk about kissing. We will always do a rehearsal either in person or over zoom prior to your ceremony. One of the biggest things I share is that you don’t have to wait for me to say “get ready with a big kiss” for you to actually land one on your future partner’s lips. THE CHEMISTRY My oh my, this was one helluva wedding. Think totally dreamy and romantic vibes, pastel florals that make you swoon and the most brightly coloured, well-heeled crowd who showed how you *really* do a wedding. The sun shone, the smiles were endless and Sana & Jacks energy... just oozed love. When they looked at one another, their faces light up at the sight of the other person and the way they caught one another’s gaze and smile during their ceremony was just something I will never forget. PROMISES, PROMISES Ahhhhh vows. Legal ones MUST be said. They sound like this, “I call upon the people here present, to witness that I, , take you, , to be my lawful wedded wife/husband/spouse” Simples right? They sure are. They’re no-frills legal. Buuuut, do you wanna say more than that? Embellish a little perhaps? Add some more insight? Share with them what you adore about them, what they mean to you and acknowledge how they’ve shaped your life? Promise some cool (realistic) stuff and pave the way for your kick ass married life by assuring them “I got you babe”? The possibilities are endless… so here’s what ya need to do: START COLLATING YOUR IDEAS YO! Get some notes going on your phone, in a book, scraps of paper that go in a special place… basically when you see something awesome in them, or you do something that you see brings them joy, then write those little nuggets down. A poem, a lyric, a quote. Put it all in there. When you come to *actually* start writing, then you have a heap of tasty ideas to draw upon, be inspired by and work with. Don’t look at Google. Chat GPT is a cop out. Create something yourself, and you will surprise yourself how much easier you make it if you start sooner rather than later. TRIVIA BY THE VINES I’ve always been intrigued by how the number of years people are married corresponds to a certain “theme” of gift for a wedding anniversary. The other day, I was listening to a cool UK wedding podcast which discussed paper as your first wedding anniversary gift which really got me wondering, where did the list of anniversary things originate? Surely there was someone responsible for assigning paper, wood, tin, crystal, etc as suggested themes for a present to wow one’s spouse?! Down the Internet rabbit hole ya girl went, and I discovered that a rather classy and sassy New York socialite by the name of Emily Post was the one who coined the list when she wrote it in her most famous book, “Etiquette In Society, In Business, In Politics, And At Home”. Post was revered by the great American public and they looked to this book as a sort of handbook for social conduct. “Etiquette” was quite a witty yet educated read and gave people confidence, encouraging anyone of any background to be considerate and aware of those around them. HALLOWEEN LOVE Yesterday I had the pleasure of being Kerry & Carters celebrant at Little Cove Platform in Noosa. Talk about a dreamy spot, private and away from the crowds overlooking Noosa, the surf and the sun shimmering over the sea as two people promised their forevers in an intimate ceremony in front of their closest friends. Kerry was a vision in her boho inspired dress, her hair loosely pinned with little flowers with the biggest smile of love and adoration when she locked eyes with Carter as he turned to face her. WINGKAT Ooooh I had fun today! So when I’m not getting my Celebrant on, my other passion is being a Disability Support Worker and today I got to be the wingwoman of the Mother of the Groom at a cracking wedding at the stunning @carrington_estate. I was by her side all day, helping her with all her personal requests so that she remained independent and didn’t have to rely on her family to constantly step in and assist her. It has been very cool to see a wedding through a non-celebrant lens and got me thinking about how important it is to ensure our less able-bodied guests are looked after on what is a massive day. Blazing sun or pouring rain, long walks on uneven ground, steps, wheelchair unfriendly terrain, lots of (often unfamiliar) people, a big change to every day routine and a whole heap of sensory things going on… It can be a lot for some folks. If hiring someone to be their wedding-assistant support-worker is going to make their day even more awesome, and guarantee that their needs are met, then go for it! . . .
