For those of you that are not sure what Hangi is it’s a traditional Māori meal consisting of meat,stuffing, potatoe, kumara, pumpkin and cabbage. The steam pudding is a traditional burnt sugar recipe with custard and fruit salad. The Frybread is the fluffiest and best you will ever taste. The rawfish is made using only NZ snapper and the chopsuey is vermicelli with chicken. All my Kai is made fresh on the day of pickup. It’s definitely delicious and tastes like home. Made with love ❤️

Kia ora everyone just wanted to introduce myself too you all this is me in the back and my family. I started Hangi Aroha in September 2021 in Sydney during Covid lockdown. After growing up in NZ then living here for 10 years I really struggled to find a good Māori Kai and was not satisfied with what was available. I decided that the best thing to do was cook as my passion to make Kai and feed the people has been instilled in me from a very young age. I make Everything myself & the first ever Kai from Hangi Aroha sold out and every single person who bought it was very happy with everything they had ordered. I continued to cook every weekend but then once things returned to normal and I had to go to work again I wasn’t able to get the balance right so I decided to stop. Last month we moved up here to Cooranbong and I made the decision to quit my job as a youth worker and bring Hangi Aroha back to life in full force. I hope to get a food trailer in the near future so please help me out by buying my Kai and sharing my page. I will definitely look at having pickup locations in the Central coast, Newcastle and any other areas that there is a demand. Im really looking forward to hearing all your feedback this weekend and hopefully you will all get the Hangi you have been longing for since being here and it takes you on a journey back home for a moment. 🥰 Mauri ora Tashy.
