On this ANZAC Day, as we gather in remembrance and reflection, we pay tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of those who served and continue to serve our nation. Their courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment to defending freedom and democracy serve as an enduring reminder of the values we hold dear.

Today, as I reflect on the Dawn Service I attended, conducted entirely by the youth from the local primary school, I am deeply moved by their dedication and reverence. With their tender hearts and earnest spirits, these young minds are the custodians of our traditions, ensuring that the flame of remembrance continues to burn brightly in our hearts and minds.

In the face of recent global challenges and uncertainties, the spirit of the ANZACs resonates more profoundly than ever. It reminds us of the strength that emerges from unity, the resilience that arises from adversity, and the hope that springs eternal in the human heart.

As we commemorate the Gallipoli campaign, let us not only honour the memory of those who fought and fell but also recognize the vital role that the youth of today play in keeping our traditions alive. Their involvement and dedication embody the essence of the ANZAC spirit, inspiring us all to carry forward the legacy of courage, mateship, and sacrifice.

In the midst of turmoil and uncertainty, let us be guided by the enduring values exemplified by our community's youth. Let us draw strength from their commitment to honouring the past while embracing the future with hope and optimism.

On the deck of our Rhino Bar and Grill in Cordalba, Mick and Flo decided to tie the knot, in an intimate and quiet wedding ceremony. Their love for each other shone brightly as they exchanged their vows, surrounded by the beauty of nature. With our friend, Allie, and my husband Tony as photographers and witnesses, Flo and Mick embarked on a new journey together.

After a week filled with a large influx of new clients referred to my psychology practice, I am excited to officiate at my first elopement wedding ceremony on the deck of the Rhino Bar tomorrow. It was a crazy busy week, and I was almost scared to check my emails and referral sources, but I am very much looking forward to the upcoming ceremony. Such a change of pace.

Karl and Ella were married a week before Christmas at HSG @ The Gardens in Bundaberg. The morning dawned with threats of rain that held off for the day and evening. To round out the ceremony, they chose to wield a branding iron and burn their initials into a framed piece of cowhide to hang on their wall as a memento of the day they said, "I do". A unique ending for their ceremony.

Despite rain forecasts, we had a warm day lightened by a light breeze for the wedding this afternoon. The groom arrived on his motorbike, which had pride of place near the arbour. The bride arrived in a much-loved old Ford station wagon, and their two children were attendants. The guests were charmed by the couple's surprise 'extra' unity ceremony (which involved a cowhide and branding irons :) ). Details will come when I get an official photo or two.
The gardens at HSG Gardens are just gorgeous.

Some beautiful photos of Belinda and Simon's wedding in late September. They got married in their amazing backyard with views to die for. Simon made a statement entrance in his Holden ute - Belinda was more traditional in her entry on her son's arm. The theme of the ceremony was family so their children (and grandson) were invited to sign a Family Unity Certificate.
I was honoured to receive this sweet thank you from Belinda and Simon.
"Please forgive me if I have not said a huge thank you for marrying Simon and I. It was a beautiful ceremony. You were amazing!"
