As a celebrant, I’ve witnessed the evolving trends in the wedding industry, and one of the most notable shifts is the growing popularity of weekday weddings. Once seen as unconventional, weekday celebrations are now embraced by couples for various reasons. ☺️
1. Cost effectiveness: Weekday weddings often come with a lower price tag. Many venues and vendors offer discounted rates for weekdays, making it a budget-friendly option for couples. This financial flexibility allows for more personalised touches that can often get overlooked. By saving (for example) $3,000 on your venue & catering, you might be able to book that videographer or live musician you didn’t have budgeted in your initial planning. 💰
2. Availability of venues and vendors: Popular venues and sought-after vendors 🙋🏻♀️ are often booked on weekends, leaving couples scrambling for last-minute options that might not be the best fit for them. By choosing a weekday, couples can secure their ideal venue and must have vendors without the stress of competition.
3. Intimacy and personalisation: Weekday weddings tend to attract a smaller guest list, allowing an intimate atmosphere. This enables couples to create a more personalised experience, focusing on meaningful connections with their closest friends and family. 🥰
4. More flexibility for guests: While weekends are typically busy for many, a weekday wedding can mean that guests have more time to attend, especially if the event is planned around holidays or long weekends. This can make for a more relaxed celebration where everyone feels included. 🥂
In my experience as a celebrant, the shift towards weekday weddings is great to see so as the trend continues to grow, I look forward to celebrating many more of these weekday unions with future couples! 🫶🏽

Have you considered a harpist for your wedding day?
Levi & Ana had this beautiful inclusion for their wedding ceremony and it was absolutely magical. ✨

Torrential downpour of rain didn’t stop Nicole & Daniel from saying “I Do”. Despite the weather, their ceremony was beautiful and every farmer loves to see rain, right? Even if it is on their wedding day.
