Santa has sent the Polar Bears from the North Pole to hang out at the Palmerston Christmas Wonderland.

FREE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS WALK OPEN NIGHTLY AT GEORGE BROWN DARWIN BOTANIC GARDENS
Families can now get up close to the spectacular lighting and Christmas themed displays at the George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens.
The thirty-minute walk around the tropical nature reserve takes in fields of brightly coloured illuminated tulips, beds of fibre optic palms and colourful raindrops of light.
The tropical rainforest is lit with high-intensity lighting and laser effects.
After arriving through the huge LED screen gates at the giant “trussmustree”, families will be delighted by the Crocodile Swamp, King Kong and the Africa Madagascar Gardens before passing Santa’s Ranch and arriving at the Jurassic Gardens to meet Rex the T-Rex.
Other displays include the Candy Cane Garden and the giant flaming candlesticks.
All of the displays will be active and fully staffed from 7pm until 9:30pm Friday 27 December though until New Year’s Eve on Tuesday 31 December 2019.
The walk takes around thirty-minutes. Santa will be in his ranch from 7pm to 9:30pm. Rex the T-Rex will appear at his Jurassic Gardens home every twenty minutes.
Comfortable covered footwear, a torch and water are recommended for all visitors.
Walk may be suspended or closed due to weather conditions.
There is no charge for admission to the Christmas Lights Walk presented by Total Event Services with the support of the George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens.

The journey to Santa’s Ranch takes you through a magical world of light; past the candle stick flames, the candy canes and the Garden of Lights.
The Magical Christmas Train runs nightly from 3pm until Christmas Eve. Ride duration is approximately fifteen minutes.
