In hopes that St. Dummy soon would be there. 🎅🃏

The clubhouse was buzzing with excitement yesterday as an International Bridge Star Joan Butts joined us for a special lesson on cue bidding! 🃏✨ It was an incredible opportunity to learn from one of the best, and the energy in the room was contagious. Players of all levels soaked up tips and tricks, sparking plenty of lively discussions and “aha!” moments. 🤩📝

A huge thank you to Helmy & The NTBA for organizing such a fantastic event. 🙌 It’s moments like these that make our club such a great place to play and learn. If you’re keen to sharpen your skills further, don’t miss Chatty Tuesdays! Lorna and Tony run mini-lessons every Tuesday night at 6:30pm, covering a range of helpful topics. 🕡📚 It’s a fun, relaxed way to improve your game and connect with fellow bridge lovers.

Last night’s Christmas party was an absolute blast, filled with laughter, food, drink, and plenty of merriment, with just the right amount of chaos and rule-breaking to keep things exciting! 🎉🍾 The Committee would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who fully embraced the “Break the Rules” theme – you all made it a night to remember. Special thanks to Peter, Lorna, Declan, and Angela for their amazing decorating skills, turning the clubhouse into a festive wonderland. 🎄✨ A big shout-out as well to Peter, Lorna, Angela, for providing the most scrumptious lime tart, baked goods and pâté that kept everyone coming back for more. 🍰

And of course, we can’t forget to congratulate our fantastic winners! 🏆 The overall champions of the night was a three-way tie between Cherie & Judy, Ken & Jo, and Jaki & Angela—what an impressive show of skills! 🃏

The Queen of Hearts, as voted by everyone present, for the most fabulous female attire, went to Lorna, who wowed us all in her stunning Asian-inspired outfit. 👑💃 Declan was crowned King of Spades, with his irresistible top hat stealing the show. 👑🎩 The Hearts & Diamonds award, which put our members’ knowledge of the committee to the test, was claimed by the sharp-minded Clare. 💎❤️
